Accidental meeting leads to Kate and Jack dating. The perfect example of opposites attract, there's no denying the chemistry and love they find in one another. When Kate's life is threatened, Jack helps her find the culprit and proves he's there for the long haul.

Lara knocks it out of the park with this book Kate is dealing with thing in her past that feels like it keeps pulling her in and pulling her down. When things go a miss she is left trying to pick up the peaces and wondering why everyone want to help her. Can she find it in her heart to trust again? Jack is back home and is loving living back in the small town of Silver bay, and when his sisters in laws, sister grabs his attention he sets out to show that she's amazing, beautiful and he needs her in her life. Will he be able to convince her or will her past continue to haunt her and destroy his chances? So I grew up in a small town in southern California and the charming town of Silver Bay remind me so much of the small area I grew up in. I love how in this town when things go wrong everyone comes together and helps each other out. I love how in this story nothing was off limits with what was going on in Kate's past and I love how the author made each one of the characters feel like you could be friends with them and you could relate to them. I loved how in each book so far the author introduces a new character that you just want to know more about their story, I can't wait for more. In each book the author does end the story summing up everything how ever I was left wanting to much more the storyline was just that great. I loved how the author kept the story mostly clean and fun. This book is really amazing and if you are looking for a book thats a real pager turn that sucks you in and has you literally leaves you wanting more then grab this book and have fun.

Loving Kate by Lara Van Hulzen Silver Bay #2 Short, sweet, clean story. Kate “falls” for Jack at the beginning of the book…literally falls off of her bicycle and from there a romance begins with Jack pursuing Kate, dating her and helping her deal with her rather obnoxious ex. There were no surprises (for me) and I found it rather predictable. I believe this book will appeal to younger readers and perhaps older ones who are looking for a church going woman given a second chance at love with a church going man. Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC. This is my honest review. 2 – 3 Stars

I really loved this story. Kate was dealing with so much, putting her life back together after an abusive marriage. Jack was drawn to Kate and really did a great job of getting her to let go and let the real Kate shine through. There was certainly drama to deal with, a fire, arson, and an ex-husband that didn't want to let go. But Kate and Jack were just so wonderful together I couldn't help but smile while reading.

Kate MacIntire has come to Silver Bay to start over. Her cheating ex was an abusive bully. He tried to break her spirit. Now she has a chance to reclaim her life. I liked Kate. She's feisty and determined to make her shop, Atmosphere, a success. This is her dream. Jack Harden is her opposite. He's dangerous and a risk taker. He loves riding his motorcycle and enjoying life. Why is Kate so attracted? This is a sweet, romantic story that made me smile. The small town setting provides the perfect background for a HEA. The people who live her are warm and caring. The romance between Kate and Jack was filled with tenderness and trust. I wanted her to learn to trust herself and feel, alive again. When Jack protects Kate from her ex-husband, I fell in love with him. Lara Van Hulzen did a wonderful job creating a story that warmed my heart. I hope to spend more time in Silver Bay.

Kate MacIntire has left her hometown of Boston for the small town of Silver Bay. She's living a life she's always wanted, discovered a half-sister and a handsome architect named Jack Harden. Coming from a bad marriage Kate wasn't ready for a relationship but Jack doesn't give up and soon they are an item around town. However, her past isn't ready to let go. I can't wait for more books in this series. I enjoyed the characters and hope to learn more about them in future books from Silver Bay.

"Loving Kate" by Lara Van Hulzen is book number two in the "Silver Bay" series. This is Kate MacIntire and Jack Harden's story. Kate moved to Silver Bay after her divorce. Her marriage to her ex was an emotional abusive marriage. Kate is determined to do things on her. She doesn't want to be dependent on anyone. Jack and Kate met at the wedding of his brother and her sister. These two are total opposites but there is definitely a spark between them. This is a sweet and inspirational story. There are obstacles they have to work through. I enjoyed the courtship of Kate and Jack. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

A beautifully written story and great addition to the series that will leave a small mark on your heart. It was great to go back to Silver Bay and touch base with old familiar friends. Kate returns to Silver Bay for a fresh start. By opening her store Atmosphere, she is headed in the right direction. One day she runs into Jack which begins another, much needed start. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

It's hard to start over, but well worth it! Loving Kate deals with emotional abuse and how it takes a toll on a persons confidence and being able to open back up again. Jack is attracted to Kate but realizes she is holding back and as he peals the layers of the onion he find out about Kate ex-husband and the emotional games he is playing on her still, even after their divorce. Lara does an excellent job at showing the toll this can take on a person and what type of patiences it takes to help another person move forward, it isn't easy. I look forward to reading the next story in this series and see where Lara goes with the town. I received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

A wonderful sweet, inspirational romance that takes place in Silver Bay. Kate has come to Silver Bay after leaving an abusive marriage, not expecting to find romance again, especially in the guy that looks like a bad boy. Jack turns out to be anything but the bad boy, he has such an inner beauty that Kate soon can not resist. Loved the small town feeling in this book. This is the first book that I have read by Lara Van Hulzen, but will now go back and read, Return to Silver Bay. I highly recommend this book.

Loving Kate (Silver Bay Romance, Book 2) by Lara Van Hulzen is sweet romance between two friends. It is a charming story that focuses on interior designer Kate and an artist Jack, who both live in Silver Bay. Kate has spent the past year re-establishing herself, moving across the country after her divorce. Jack and his brother Josh own and operate an architecture company that designs beautiful buildings. Jack sees the vision and Josh draws the design. Josh is married to Kate’s newly discovered sister, Maggie. Jack wants Kate to relax and have fun. He thinks she’s too uptight and believes she should relax and laugh more. Kate has given up on men after divorcing her controlling, abusive husband. It was interesting reading this story to find out if Jack was able to get Kate to open up and let go. A store fire brings the two into daily contact and they start spending evenings and more time together. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

After her marriage ended badly, Kate moved from Boston to Silver Bay California. She wanted to start her life over and do as she dreamed of so many years ago, opening her own interior design shop. Kate finally hard her life under control when one day Jack, pulls up beside her on his motorcycle and startles Kate and she crashed into a parking meter and falls off her bike. Kate never expected to end up becoming friends with Jack, much less fall in love with the bad boy biker. Ever since Jack saw Kate at his brother’s wedding, he has wanted to know her. He wanted to get her to open up and have some fun. Get her to loosen up some. But Jack had no idea how tightly wound Kate was and everything she had gone through in her marriage. He vowed to stay by her side and protect her no matter what life threw their way. This sweet romance shows that opposites do attract and can bring out the best in each other. There were a lot of great moments and obstacles the characters had to overcome. I enjoyed reading their story and seeing how Kate and Jack eventually found love.
