Excellent and entertaining storyline involving Nathaniel and Leticia. While both share a similar goal to save poor, young girls from being kidnapped and tricked into a life of prostitution. The characters, hero and heroine are outstanding and make a perfect pair. In spite of Nathaniel's parents and Letitica' s Mother. Although, their parents could have used a thump on the head because of how Nathaniel has to deal with being a second son and his parents thought regarding the spare. Leticia's Mother treating her like a hired help. Yet, still the storyline is filled with adventure, romance and friends (Oliver and Julia), Nathaniel 's brother (Tristian) and one of Letitica's sister's (Dalia) having stories of their own. HEA! Happy Reading! Enjoy*******vrnb******

Lettie and Nathaniel are two damaged hearts waiting for each other and the Book of Curses is an ingenious way of bringing them together. As they work toward stopping the London market in child sex trafficking they bring out and develop their strengths in character that draw them together and to personal independence. All characters are well developed and you really pull for a happy ending for all concerned.

This is a story about Nathaniel and Leticia. Nathaniel has been discharged from the military due to an injury to his leg in which a bullet has shattered a bone. He has finally found something purposeful to do with his life after reading a book about the seven perils of London that details the travesties that afflict the poor. He meets Lettie one day as he is watching mostly young women leave the factories at dinner time. He sees Lettie try to talk to some of the girls and intercepts her in her attempt to give information about a better job situation for a modiste. He tells Lettie she has no business in the seedy part of town to which she tells him she can be wherever she chooses as it isn’t his business. He insists on taking her back to her carriage and tells her not to come back. Which of course she pays no attention to. The next time they run into each other sparks really fly and they finally run into each other at a ball where the attraction leads to a kiss. This story turns into quite the romance as the two fight the bad guys almost as much as they fight their attraction. There are a few spicy scenes thrown in to add to the excitement. A hard book to put down once started and a lovely romance as well.

Loving The Hawke by Lana Williams is a fantastic read. Ms Williams has delivered a well written historical romance. Lettie and Nathaniel's story is loaded with drama, action, humor and spice. Ms Williams has peppered this book with awesome characters that make it a joy to read. I enjoyed Loving The Hawke and look forward to reading more from Lana Williams in the future. Loving The Hawke is book 1 of The Seven Curses Of London Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

A remarkable read! I absolutely loved the book! When Captain Nathaniel Hawke retired from the Navy to to an injury he didn’t know how he could be of use, until he found a ship full of kidnapped girls being sold in Brussels. Lettie wanted to help but didn’t know how to do it. When Hawke encounters Lettie on a bridge speaking to young girls from the factory to see how she could help. With these 2 forces of nature they will be able to change peoples lives and find love in unexpected places. A wonderful read!

This was such an interesting story. It showed some of the horrible situations there were in London plus romance and intrigue. I loved Nathaniel Hawke and Leticia's strong and caring characters they protrayed in the book.
