Wild at Heart. . .

Wild. Reckless. Stubborn. That's Luke Malloy in a nutshell. The solitary life of a rancher and the untamed Montana wilderness make him feel alive-and nothing will ever change that. Not even being thrown from his horse and forced to accept a stranger's help. The fact that this stranger is a beautiful blonde with a passion for ranching that rivals his own doesn't hurt. But there's a secret she's hiding, and Luke won't rest until he uncovers it...

Ingrid Larsen doesn't need anyone's help. Not with managing her family's ranch. Not with raising her little sister. And certainly not with the mysterious incidents occurring on her property. When this too-sexy-for-his-own-good cowboy needs a place to recover, she hopes he'll be in and out in no time flat. But just as she's beginning to trust Luke's promise of protection, Ingrid's secret threatens to tear them apart.

## Good read. Kept my interest for the most part. Some of the family dialogue was a little lengthy, but not too bad. It was definitely a little PG for my taste. But if you like clean family cowboy stories, this will be perfect for you.

This book is #2 in the The Malloys of Montana Series and they can be read as a stand alone issue but they are best read in order. Luke Malloy is the middle child of 3 boys and he has always been wild and reckless but he has a heart of gold and would go above and beyond for those that he loves. His parents died in a car crash when he was young so his grandparents took the boys in. Luke chooses to live a solitary life of a rancher in the Montana wilderness, it's where he finds the most happiness. While on his way back from being up in the hills he is thrown from his horse and is rescued by a fellow rancher. This fellow rancher is a beautiful blonde whose passion is to revive her fathers ranch and make it well known. But it's apparent she has secrets. Ingrid Larsen inherited the cattle on her fathers ranch is trying to buy back the ranch from her mother before she sells it to a neighboring rancher. Ingrid is independent and doesn't want anyone's help managing her family's ranch, raising her little sister and most certainly not with the mysterious incidents happening on or around her ranch. She takes in the sexy stranger while he is recovering from his wounds and tries to stay aloof and not trust the sweet talker. But just as her sister has done, she begins to trust Luke, rely on his promise of protection and keeping her heart out of the equation is a bigger battle than finding out who is out to get her.

Thoroughly fell in love with the characters in this series. While Luke had definitely been a wild child, once meeting Ingrid and her little sister, he had already began the process of maturing and becoming the man that he was destined to be. I loved his manners and his thoughtful way of helping the Marrow family. If you love cowboy romances (and who doesn't) this is the next read for you. There's a mixture of romance and mystery that will enthrall you and have you sitting up till you read the last page.

I have yet to meet a Malloy, I didn't like. Rugged, loyal, with a mile long wild streak and a big heart to match Luke is less of a loner and more of a nurturer. When he cares, he does it completely and that is both a strength and a weakness. His soft heart lands him some tough situations that build character but can also prove dangerous. Ingrid is his equal in every way except one. She works hard, cares deeply, but doesn't trust easily. How could these two strangers know that a simple act of kindness, would lead them down a path of danger, treachery, and love. There is never a dull moment with the Malloys. Adventure, suspense and romance are always on the agenda when you love a Malloy.
