Having never used Mac previous to buying a MacBook Pro, we purchased this book, along with MacBook Pro portable genius. The dummies book is where I start to look when I want to know how to do something, the genius book is more complete and comprehensive. Between the two, we have been able to get over the hump and are now certified Apple freaks. Probably will be ditching my Microsoft based desktop next year and become a totally Apple based household. Like most "Dummies" books, it is a little short on content but long on organization.
