I was quite alarmed to see that the authors are under the impression that Louis XIV was married to Maria-Therese of Austria 'the mother of Marie-Antoinette' and not Maria-Therese of Spain. Same Hapsburg family, but completely different people. They even got the picture wrong. Besides than that giant mistake, the writing isn't spectacular. Pass on this, everyone.

Knowing that the book was so short I have decided to use it when I'm looking for a quick read. I wish there was more information about the kings and queens. It's like a sample appetizer at a restaurant. If I wanted more information I'm going to have to look for another book.
