Made (The Trinity, #2) by J. L. Lora

No matter how hard she runs . . .

Gia Corey's on a first-name-basis with danger. Nothing can protect her from the madman stalking her every move. Not her vital role in New York's most powerful cartel, her money or her influence. She can't run from the cops coming to arrest her for the deaths of six people. She can't hide from the past that thrusts her into the path of a madman, sets her up for murder, and threatens those she loves.

Noah McLean's carefree lifestyle as a playboy has come to a swift and violent end. Betrayal is the bullet that forces him to take his place in the family business. Gia's his anchor, holding him together, helping him accept the role he's been burdened with. He fell in lust with her beauty and helplessly in love with her heart, but when danger slithers close, he risks everything to keep her safe. But she only trusts two people and Noah isn't one of them.

The past is never far behind . . .

The monster will stop at nothing to have Gia. He'll wage a dangerous battle where murder, extortion, and terror are his instruments to tear her way from Noah and her friends. To win the war, Gia must do the unthinkable — embrace her own inner darkness.

Will she slay the monster, once and for all, or will her past break her in the end?

What an amazing book.Gia and Noah are so amazing. This is the second book in The Trinity series and you need to read the first book to be able to understand what is happening. The second book is about Gia and Noah. They met in the first book and had that slow burn romance since then. This book had some really sensitive subjects and the author did a great job dealing with those things.Gia is one really strong and selfless women. She is very beautiful, but also smart and very brave.I liked how she stood up against her enemy and put him where he belongs. And Noah,he is the end game for me.I liked that he chased after Gia and that he was there for her at her worst. And he made me laugh a lot.The two of them were perfect together. In my opinion the second book was so much better then first. This book was slow burn and much more emotional then Boss was.The friendship between these three girls is absolutely stunning. They go to extreme ends to protect each other and people they love. That made Gia a bit reckless at some point, but she was set up on winning this game and protecting people she loves. This was absolutely stunning read and I recommend you read it.

The second installment of the stories of the women of The Trinity Series, this is Gia's story with Noah from the McLean Brothers. These two were sexy, hot and funny. This can be read as a standalone but works best if Boss is read first. Great writing.
