This book was written very clearly and easy to understand. I did not realize the importance that Bangor, Maine played in the lives of the Jewish people settling in Maine. The book explored the lives of the Jews in all the major cities in Maine and I found it very interesting. Because the book depended on pictures given to the writer, they did not depict many of the prominent families, only a few. Overall, I did enjoy the book.
