Overview

Royal St. James got her name when she was born. Not because her mother loved her royally, but because Royal was a giant pain in the ass. She's spent her entire life fighting to live, and the last thing she needs is to deal with some pretty-boy police officer who wouldn't know a hardship if it came up and bit him in the...you know.
Justice Rector wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was raised to work hard and always fight for what he believed in. His father was a cop, and ever since he could remember, he wanted to be one, too.
It was a complete coincidence that he ends up going undercover and meeting Royal St. James. It was just one day, a single moment in time. All routine.
Just do the buy, make the bust, and get out.
But Royal St. James, aptly named, screws everything up. Royally.
All of a sudden, he has a decision to make: blow his cover and save the girl, or save himself.
Of course, he does the most stupid thing possible.
By saving the girl who most assuredly did not want to be saved.

I can honestly say I have never read a LLV book I did t like. Loki and Channing make a cameo in this one since they are Justice's parents. Looking forward to more 2nd generation books.

## DNF. I tried to like this but just couldn't get through the juvenile dialogue. And these two didn't have any chemistry at all. Zilch. This story was a mess all the way around.

I adored Justice and his way of being him, not giving a care about others. This book made me feel terrible for Royal, my heart broke for her but dang was she a strong cookie! These two characters were amazing in the fact that they were both strong and stood up for what is right. Great side characters and I always love getting a glimpse of characters from Lani Lynn Vale's previous books!

Make Me by Lani Lynn Vale is the fourth book in her brand new KPD Motorcycle Patrol series. I remain absolutely intrigued with the peripheral characters to this series knowing they must have a book out there just from the snippets contained in this series. {So many books, so little time!} It seems like this is a next-generation series to the author's Code 11-KPD SWAT Series and also a spin-off or set in the same world as her Bear Bottom Guardians MC series. Anyway - back to the review for MAKE ME - Royal St. James is despised by her own father, is sure she can't ever do anything right in his eyes, and wants nothing more than to make her brothers life as easy as possible. Having finally found a job she enjoys she is putting her skills to use working at a welding shop on 11th street. Not the best neighborhood, by any means, especially when she learns her brother, who was working at the store across the street from her, is attacked. Her brother who is in a wheelchair! Determined to find out the name of the thug that chose to attack a man in a wheelchair she bites off more than she can chew with psycho responsible. Justice Rector is working undercover at his garage across from the welding shop Royal works at. This means he can't get too involved when his mark starts beating up the guy in the wheelchair - but he does stop him and makes sure the wheelchair isn't damaged. Now if he could just stop the beautiful redhead with the great backside from asking questions he may be able to get the dirt he needs and put this scumbag away for good. Too bad she has no intention of keeping quiet. Well-written and fast-paced this is a sexy and outrageous insta-love story and I'm most definitely addicted to Lani Lynn Vale's writing at this point. Loved it! Enjoy!

4 1/2 STARS! MAKE ME is book four in Lani Lynn Vale’s KPD Motorcycle Patrol series and revolves around a welder and a motorcycle cop in a twist on an enemies to friends to lovers story line. I was hooked from page one and loved Royal and Justice together! Royal is quick to draw a reader’s attention because she doesn’t take crap from anyone, and she’s going to stand up for what she believes in no matter what. She quickly gets herself into a mess and has to count on her new frenemy to step in and protect her. Justice is such a good guy. He was working undercover when Royal tangled with the wrong guy and he had to step in to get her out of harms way. She’s had a hard life, and watching him show her what a true family life should be is pretty magical. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves an alpha man who crumbles at the feet of “the one” when he meets her. I’ve been reading this series from the start and these guys are just so sweet, sexy and downright fun. I adore them and am enjoying the series.

Lani Lynn Vale continues to surprise me with her skill as an author. She creates characters that I really enjoy and storylines that constantly pull me. And MAKE ME has just blown them all out of the water. This book had everything that I love in a romance and took it up several notches. Justice and Royal were beautiful together as characters, but it was really the overall interactions of ALL the characters in this book that made it so freaking good. From early on in the book I became invested with the characters, and that just continued as the story went on. The characters were totally enjoyable as a whole, but they were also perfect as separate individuals. Royal really pulled at my heartstrings. What she goes through with her family brought a couple tears to my eyes and made me want too be able to reach into a book and throat punch someone! But alas, not an available option so I continued to read and was constantly impressed with how she handled herself and the situations that she found herself in. But Justice!!! OMG is he such a perfect blend of Loki and Channing, two of my all time favorite characters in LLV’s books. He is funny and protective in equal measures and how he reacts to certain things made me laugh or nod my head in agreement through the book. My favorite scene in the whole story was his reaction in the station with the table … so freaking awesome!!! Overall, I really loved this book. The characters were amazing and really tugged at my heartstrings. The humor in this book is freaking spot on as is the drama and danger levels. But to me the impact was the emotional investment that I made with the characters. I went along for their ride and cried as certain parts while laughing hard at others. I felt shock at one point and then elation. I felt fear in another part and then I felt utter happiness. So, two thumbs up from me and happy reading!!

Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster with this book! There are definitely highs and lows, lots of laughs, and a few tears. Royal and Justice are the kind of couple that all book couples should aspire to! They bring on the feels, and make sure the reader is completely invested in their story! Royal's life has been complete crap. There really is no other way of putting it. The only bright spot in her life is her brother, Jimmy, and even then, there are issues. She ends up being in a place she has no business being in, and gets drawn into something she should have stayed far away from. But it puts her in Justice's path, so there is that..... Justice idolizes his father, and wants to follow in his footsteps. And he's doing a pretty good job, until a glimpse of red hair turns his life upside down, and he has to make a decision that could change everything. This book was emotional, fun, and kept me on my toes! I never knew what was coming next (which I love!) Justice and Royal had a fiery connection right from the beginning, which kept the book moving at lightning pace! I enjoyed the glimpse we got of characters from a previous series, and can't wait to see what the author has in store for Lock!
