He's back.

Not just back in town, but living in the flat right beneath mine. And he looks good enough to eat, which is just one more reason to stay away from him.

But I can't resist.

The sex is incredible (pretty sure we've shaken the house right off its foundation), but he can't fool me-not this time. A degree in marketing and five years in advertising have taught me that "true love" is a fairy tale used to sell lipstick, diamonds, and perfume. It doesn't exist.

He thinks I'm wrong, and he wants to prove it.

I think he's crazy, so I dare him to try.

It might be the biggest mistake of my life.

I am so glad I read the reviews on this book and tried it. Cute, hot, sweet. Well-edited, well-written. I looking for more by this author. About 200 pages. No cliffhangers, but there are characters I look forward to seeing in other books.

Man Candy by Melanie Harlow is a laugh out loud book that once you start reading, you won't want to put down. Ms. Harlow has delivered a well-written book. The characters are fantastic and lovable. Jamie and Quinn's story is packed with drama, humor and sizzle. I totally enjoyed reading Man Candy and look forward to reading more from Melanie Harlow in the future. I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel.

Romantic & witty! This was such an easy, fast pace, sexy, sweet, funny, romantic book. Quinn was her brother’s best friend growing up, Jaime told him she loved him, that was ten years ago. Now he’s back & renting the flat beneath her. Jaime fears love & doesn’t believe in happily ever after. She has built walls up & has rules to her relationships. Quinn wants to prove her wrong and convince her that true love does exists. The characters have great sexual chemistry together. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. Completely refreshing with the role reversal; Quinn is wanting more & Jaime was the no commitment type. -read by RazzReader with Pop Fizz Clink Read

Man Candy is an ingeniously brilliant friends to lovers story. This is one of my favorite tropes to read. But Man Candy had a clever way to capture my attention and prove it is more than just man candy. It is also a uniquely heartwarming, charming, and gratifying love story. I fell for Quinn, a sexy male model, right from the start. He is cocky, playful, and romantic, but also thoughtful, and caring. He has moved back home to establish a more meaningful life for himself. He has been friends with Jaime since they were kids, and has wanted her just as long. She had a crush on him back then as well, but he never felt worthy of her until now. He is finally ready to make his move on Jaime but she is not being cooperative. Jaime is smart and sassy but also temperamental and closed off to relationships and love. It took me awhile to warm up to Jaime until I realized that is how the men are usually described in these stories. I love a strong female character and that is just what Jaime is, without the public displays of affection. That realization made Jaime relateable to me, and that is when I fell for her as well. Quinn caught on to her fears right away and loved the challenge of convincing her to believe in love. He loved the contradiction of Jaime being fire in the bedroom and then ice away from it. She was also funny, quirky, and couldn't back down from a dare. She would get into situations that had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. I loved how their relationship developed. It was challenging, playful and so passionate with chemistry that is off the charts! Jaimes' brother and girlfriends are essential to the story as well making it even more engaging and well rounded. Ms. Harlow expertly blended multifaceted characters, witty banter and steamy passion into a fun and sexy story and I loved every moment of it!

***ARC Provided by the author*** Melanie Harlow is a favorite of mine. A drop everything I am reading to read her new book favorite. There are a number of reasons for this: her characters are genuine; her writing flows and is a pleasure to read; she tells stories of people I would want to know in real life; she describes scenes and settings in a way that I feel like I am there. Man Candy was a bit of a different story. It is usually the woman in the story who knows how she feels and the man who is unwilling, reluctant, or afraid to commit. In this case, Jaime is the one who is not willing to believe in love and commitment. Quinn, on the other hand, is pretty sure that she is the one for him…he just needs to talk her into it. This is a friends to lovers story. Jaime and Quinn knew each other when they were younger, Quinn is friends with her brother, Alex. This is how they meet, how they know one another, and ultimately how they end up living in the same duplex. The story begins with Jaime in a closet. Literally, it is the first line. With a game of chicken, and with a little history so you know why she is in this closet. Still literally. You find out why Jaime is reluctant to believe in love, you find out about her family, her career, and all of the things that have happened to her in her life that resulted in her belief that love isn’t real and doesn’t last. Quinn believes in love that lasts, that is work, and that builds into something permanent and deeper than the first attraction. He decides to show Jaime that love is real, and she dares him to try. The book is their story, their dates, his attempts to show her that love is real and her determination to resist believing it is anything other than a fairy tale. Quinn is instantly likable. He is funny, charming, caring and ridiculously attractive. He’s genuine, and life experience has taught him that he wants to take a path that has more meaning than the one he is on, so he is back in Detroit to make some changes in his life, to find a new direction. It is admirable and he is appealing. Jaime is likeable, but at the same time, you are a little frustrated with her unwillingness to see what is right in front of her, the chance at real love with Quinn. Harlow does an excellent job of portraying someone who is afraid and reluctant without making the reader dislike her. You understand where Jaime is coming from and what she is thinking, and the talent in Harlow’s writing is this ability to write a character who maybe should be frustrating or hard to relate to…but isn’t. As a reader, you really like Quinn, so you would think it would be hard to relate to Jaime and her reluctance to be with him fully, but you like her, and you understand her, so you never reach the point where you dislike her, even though she is difficult. Credit goes to Melanie Harlow for the writing, the characters, the plot, all of it, for being able to relate to Jaime through the entire book. Man Candy is delicious. Take a bite.

This book is a perfect representation of why I love Melanie Harlow. It was amazingly sweet and funny and so very steamy hot. I have had a problem lately where I find my mind wandering while reading... even during pretty good books. Nothing has been keeping my interest. But that did not happen once during Man Candy. Once I started, I devoured the entire thing in one sitting (on my own birthday, the perfect present). This story is about a man who believes in love and wants to find it and a woman who doesn't think any of it is real or lasting. Quinn was amazing. He was the perfect leading man. And Jaime was completely hilarious and frustrating. But the opening scene will have you giggling while picturing the situation she has put herself in! Frenched has long been my favorite Melanie story and Miles from Some Sort of Crazy has been my favorite Melanie man... but Quinn and Man Candy definitely give both of these a run for their money. Definitely pick this one up if you are looking for something hot and funny (the banter is great) that sucks you right in. p.s. go check out Dima, the cover model! He is gorgeous and seems completely awesome and the perfect muse for Quinn. Oh, and I loved his Q & A at the end of the book! "Quinn Rusek was one fine piece of man candy, and I had a sweet tooth for him that wouldn't quit."

Oh wow, this is definitely one of my favorite books! It's got the perfect blend of romance, humor, and cynicism. Quinn is an amazing character. I love the way Melanie Harlow can create the perfect man every time she writes a book. Every time I think I got exactly what I want she writes another one that steals a little more of my heart. Quinn was funny, sexy, patient, and loyal. He had me laughing and rooting for him from the beginning. Jaime was a strong, hilarious, and beautiful character. She reminded me of myself at times and it made me laugh. She had the perfect amount of give and take to her personality. I also loved her friends. They were funny and added so much to the story. I loved the way the story was written and the telling of it. I didn't have any idea what was going to happen or if it was going to end the way I wanted it to or not. I was hooked from the very beginning and it had me up and finishing in one sitting. I couldn't put it down because I absolutely had to find out how everything would turn out. This was an amazing book that's absolutely loved and would say is a must read.

Melanie Harlow is one of those authors that I read as soon as a new book is available. I love the characters she creates and her books flow easily and are a genuine pleasure to read. In this friends to lovers romance, the roles are reversed in the sense that it is the man that knows exactly how he feels and what he wants, while our heroine is a bit reluctant to believe in the trappings of love and relationships. Quinn has been best friends with Jaime's brother, Alex, for years. Back when she was seventeen, Jaime fell for Quinn and when she admitted her feelings to him, things definitely were not sunshine and roses. Quinn embarrassed her and to this day that experience has helped to shape her thoughts about love. When Quinn needs a place to stay while his new townhouse is being renovated, Alex suggests the empty flat below his sister's place, which Quinn agrees to. Jaime learns from her brother that she will have a new flatmate and when she realizes who it is, she's not sure she's going to be able to handle seeing the man she crushed on so hard every single day and in her own space! Jaime vows to avoid Quinn, but how long will that work? Quinn wants to make Jaime believe in love, but can he break through the very strong and thick walls she's built around her heart? Man Candy is one of those books that you devour. The hero is swoon-worthy, while the heroine is strong, yet also vulnerable in the right situations. It's funny, sexy and just all around fun. Melanie Harlow has another hit on her hands and everyone should indulge in this kind of "candy"!

#Quinning has never been so GOOD! Melanie Harlow always delivers for me! Man Candy was no exception to the rule! The perfect blend of heart, heat, & happily-ever-after. I love how she can take a seemingly perfect man and give him some little flaws that make him even more irresistible. Jaime and Quinn have had a not-so-stellar past defining moment. After 10 years, Jaime thought she had put that moment behind her. Quinn shows up and she realizes all too soon that she hasn't left it behind at all. As Quinn navigates Jaime's love gun-shy attitude, he begins to get a peek behind her cold exterior. This story is full of HOT sexy scenes. It also supplies some sweet and funny parts that help balance that little tension the hero and heroine exude. Quinn Rusek is definitely on the top of my favorite BBF lists! That gorgeous cover doesn't hurt either! 1-click this one people! You definitely won't be disappointed!

A Review of Man Candy by Melanie Harlow Can a first love last a lifetime? - 5+++ stars Jaime has rules for "dating" - it's NOT done. She likes her sexual escapades to be fast and extremely short term. So, when her high school crush comes back into her life, she panics. The fact that her brother is letting him live in the bottom apartment of the house she lives in throws a wrench into her hope of avoiding him while he is in town. Quinn is hoping to touch base with the sweet girl that he left behind ten years ago, after laughing at her when she told him she loved him. He is now ready to see where things can go between the two of them. He doesn't get quite the reception he was expecting, though. Through a comedy of hot, sexy scenes, dates she only agreed to so she could get what she wanted from him and a bet that he can prove love is real, the two of them grow closer together until Jaime gets a scare and pulls the plug on them. Will they be able to overcome the past, for a shot at a future? You really don't want to miss this book! Ms. Harlow has a way with words that will keep you on the edge of your seat. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**
