About the Author

Sandra Urias began her technical career in 1990 when she joined the US Air Force. She served as a Communications and Navigation Systems Journeyman and flightline mechanic for six years. She fell into technical writing in 1998 and in 2000, she began her technical publications project management career in the aerospace and defense industry. It was also the year that the US military required all new publications to adhere to this �new� Specification 1000D, and Sandra assisted in the development and implementation of one of the US military�s first S1000D IETMs. She built upon this experience by developing and implementing several S1000D technical publications projects from start to finish. Sandra lives in San Diego, CA, where she hopes to continue working in the aerospace and defense industry and writing science fiction novels as well as
how-to books.

Fortunately, there is now a book "Managing Your First S1000D Project" (in its 2nd edition) to help you. Author Sandra Urias has written this guide book based on her experience she gained in managing three S1000D projects. The book is full of sound advice. ... Excellent book.
