MARIJUANA: Brain Damage. Birth Defects. Addiction.
MARIJUANA cause brain damage, birth defects and addiction. Baby Boomers who remember the 70's when pot had a THC (potency) content of 1/2%, need to observe that today its 20 to 60 times stronger. We are talking grain alcohol compared to near beer. And the impacts to the body and brain are much more severe.

With all of the propaganda from drug legalizers like Drug Lord George Soros, America is largely confused about pot. Is it medicine? Are we depriving the chronically ill of the only narcotic that can give them relief? In reality, its not about compassion. Its about money and power, and the fact that people like the intoxicating effects with no knowledge or concern about the inherent damage they inflict on themselves and others.

Its true! Nobody dies of marijuana overdose. But almost all of the 3,200 Americans who die monthly from drug overdose started their journey with pot.

And largely owing to brain imaging technology, we know know that marijuana can actually cause of schizophrenia and paranoia in vulnerable individual, along with other psychotic conditions, such as depression and suicide. Loughner, the Tucson shooter may be a case in point.

The human brain isn't fully developed until age 25, and we now know that marijuana can cause irreversible damage to the brain until it is, particularly during adolescence when marijuana interrupts the development of white and gray matter.

The most critical thing about pot is that it is fat soluble. While one ounce of alcohol can be excreted from the body in 12 hours, it takes 3 to 7 days for the THC content in one joint to leave the body, and up to a month for the balance. In the interim, the THC clogs every cell in the body, and adversely affects every organ. It weakens the immune system by as much as 50%. Because 1/3rd of the 3 lb brain is fat, it loves to reside there, adversely impacting short term memory, diminishing motivation, maturation, academic achievement and productivity.

The other primary depository of THC are the gonads (i.e. sex organs). Marijuana is a cause of testicular cancer in men, but it also escalates the percentage of still births, causes physical defects in newborns, behavioral problems and escalates the probably of certain types of leukemia. It's also mutagenic, which means it can leap over a generation and cause the same defects in one's grandchildren.

Addictive? There are more young people in rehab for addiction to marijuana than all other drugs combined. During Obama's first year in office, the increase in marijuana use went from 15.1 million Americans to 16.7 million (11%). Unfortunately, the two age groups with the highest consumption are 18-25, and 12 to 17 ... both under the threshold of a mature brain.

A major cause of the increase in consumption is the President and Attorney General's edict that the federal government will not enforce federal law in states that have approved "medical" marijuana laws. That edict is not based on scientific evidence, but on the corruptive influence of money. We have the best scientific evidence in the world on the destructive influence of marijuana. The government's most important responsibility is to protect the people, and in spite of the pandemic of 3,200 overdose deaths monthly, 33% high school drop out rate, 5% of the world's population consuming 66% of the world's illicit drugs, et al., the President and Congress have heretofore just ignored the problem.

By destroying our youth, we are destroying our nation. If our government can't muster the wisdom, courage and will to serve the people, then we need to elect a government that will.
