Married for Christmas (Willow Park, #1) by Noelle Adams

After years of dreaming, Jessica is finally getting married, but the marriage isn't exactly what she thought.

Daniel is her best friend, and she's known him all her life, but he's never gotten over losing his wife two years ago. His dream is to become the pastor of the church in their hometown, but the small-town congregation keeps balking over calling an unmarried minister. Since Daniel needs a wife and Jessica wants a husband and family, she proposes an arrangement that benefits both of them.

They can get married. They can build a life together. They can celebrate Christmas as a couple. It's fine that he doesn't love her. And it's fine that she's not exactly suited to be a small-town pastor's wife. And it's fine that she's more attracted to her sexy, brooding husband every day.

Jessica can be practical about this marriage. She knows what she's getting into, after all...

This book includes fully-developed sex scenes between a husband and wife.

I wish there was a way to give this book 10 stars. I was lucky enough to receive this book for an early review and I didn't put it down until I was finished. I loved this book from the beginning to the end. While reading Married for Christmas I went from happy to sad back to happy and in spots I was even crying. The relationship between Jessica and Daniel was very believable and I just wanted to reach into the book and give them both a hug. As with all Noelle Adams books I was sucked in from the beginning and have found another couple to fall in love with. This was a romantic, sweet, fun and sad Christmas story perfectly written. The only complaint I had is now that I'm finished I miss Daniel and Jessica. I wish Daniel was real so I was able to attend his church. Keep up the great work Noelle Adams you are truly an amazing author. As soon as this book is released December 1, 2013 do yourself a favor and buy a copy. You wont be disappointed

I admit. Free usually equals ok. Not this time. I loved that the author mixed religious values in a really great love story. I loved the uncertainty in the heroine. I loved how humble and beautiful the heart of the hero is. I haven't read a story like this in a very long time. I laughed at one point so abruptly and loud my dog moved off my lap and my husband looked at me like I had lost my mind. I am just glad that he wasn't in hete when I cried along with the heroine... 5 stars. Really great story.

I am Buddhist... And I loved this book! It is well written because it is real. The characters feel real to me and their life seems real. If a practicing Buddhist can find the story of a pastor and his life exciting, it must be overwhelming for those who believe! This is a book you won't put down!

A really well written love story.

This short 126 page story is filled with sex between a preacher and his wife. They married for convenience rather than love. Him, so the church would hire hin. Is that a trick and a lie? Seems dishonest. Her so she could move back to hometown and have more money to take care of her mother. From there it is predictable. All sobs, arguments, sex and declarations of love. The end. Bah Humbug. For adults. AD

I fell in love with Jessica, Daniel, and I loved that Daniel is a pastor and it showed that he is a imperfect person as anyone else. The author is right, there aren't many books like that out here. I'm happy it worked out in the end. Daniel, what a sweet, kind, loveable christian man.(:

This marriage of convenience romance is the story of Daniel and Jessica. Daniel lost his wife two years ago but has developed a strong friendship with Jessica. When Jessica finds out that the job he wants as pastor in Willow Park would be more likely given to him if he were married, it seems like a solution to both of their problems - a committed relationship with a chance for children for Jessica and the job Daniel has always wanted. They have the building blocks for a strong marriage - but can romantic love find a place in their hearts? I really enjoyed this story! It was interesting to read a contemporary romance with a spiritual side to the story, so often missing in romances unless found under an inspirational publishing line. I thought the author did a wonderful job of combining the faith life of the characters with a romantic storyline without pushing religion on the reader. Daniel was an interesting character as a man having lived through the death of his young wife and finding it difficult to believe that another romance could be in his future. Yet he finds himself attracted to Jessica and marriage to her is conflicting for him - though he may trust his body to her, he has difficulty giving her his heart. For her part Jessica is a strong but somewhat shy woman, honestly believing at first that marriage to Daniel will give her a stable and committed partnership, and that she can deal without the romantic love of a partner. But in reality she finds that her feelings for Daniel are quite strong, indeed she is in love with her husband and hopes that one day her affection will be returned. The story moves along at a realistic pace, highlighting the realities of a pastor's life and the development of the romance between Daniel and Jessica. The only thing that would have made it better for me would have been having some of the story told in Daniel's point of view. Overall this was a delightful romantic story, with much of the plot taking place around the Christmas holiday season. The characters were true to life and the love scenes were tasteful yet sexy. 4 stars!

Once again Noelle Adams hit it out of the park. I loved Married For Christmas. I loved Daniel who lost his wife in a car accident and is trying to get on with his life, and I loved Jessica who desperately wants to belong to a family and a community. Jessica and Daniel have been friends for a long time and they decide to get married to fulfill each other's needs. This is their story with all the missteps, struggles, hopes and steps in the right direction to make their marriage a success and better yet to make their lives complete and happy. Gosh I so wanted them to succeed and that's about all I can tell you with spoiling the book. I didn't want to put it down, each page brought something new and exciting. I loved how they bickered with each other it was mostly all in fun. :-) I loved discovering all the feeling they had for each other. Please get this book you won't be disappointed.

Married for Christmas is a lovely story about friendship, love, self-confident but mostly it’s a story about take the risk of falling in love again And who can’t be identifying with that? Jessica is an independent and strong woman, she has dedicated to her mother and job and left behind her personal and love life; her best friend always says that she must take a risk and show herself to the world.  Daniel is a young priest who lost his wife a couple years ago. He’s handsome, kind and sweet but he hasn’t gotten over his grief and broken heart.  Daniel has troubles in his job and his only offer demanded he was married, so Jessica proposes an convenient marriage. Sounds great, she’ll have a family and he’ll become the pastor of the church in their hometown.  Could Jessica be happy in a marriage without love? Could Daniel love again?   Noelle comes again with a no conventional marriage, but you don’t expect any similarities. In Married for Christmas this issue is just the background, the big picture is Daniel’s fight. I had not understood when in the Author’s Note Noelle wrote he’s the story hero but boy… he totally is. “This is more than a stage of grief. I went through all the regular stages. I’m nothing but angry now. It just feels so wrong that he takes away everything from me, everything I want. It infects everything. I can’t let myself want anything else because he’ll just… The whole world just feels…” I must confess I didn't like Jessica’s attitude about the dog issue, I completely agreed with Daniel “Dogs don’t belong on the bed.” There are a few things you always can expect about Noelle Adams’ books:  Real characters from whom you can fall in love.  Steamy love scenes… always well proportionated Happy Ever After Endings which melt your heart  How many stars deserve this book? Let’s see Well set forth storyline? Check  Well written characters? Check. Sexy like hell male character?  Check.  Sensual and passionate sex scenes? Check Heartrending moments and dialogues? Check My rate is 4 beautiful stars ‘cause this is a  super book

Very well written. I had to stop reading at times to wipe away the tears. Everyone should be so lucky as to read this book. Christianity and romance were married together brilliantly.

This is a sweet romance but the emotional turmoil was exceptionally well-writren. I could feel the characters' heartbreak and loved the outcome. Not really inspirational but the author gave fair warning of that.

Great free read! This is the first book by Noelle Adams I have read and honestly I downloaded to try because it was a free download, nothing to lose! Another great choice as this is a great read, especially as a free download. Jessica and Daniel are well written characters, who have a firm friendship and lots of baggage. They decide a marriage of convenience will suit them both and they can maintain their friendship......not that easy to do! Lust, sex, fear, guilt and even love all play their part in making their road to HEA a very bumpy, emotional and winding one. This may be the first book by Noelle Adams I have read but it won't be the last, I will be downloading the next Willow Park book 'A baby for Christmas' before I look for more.

This is a perfect story about love, devotion, being true to yourself and your beliefs. No one is perfect, we all go through life's ups and downs, even pastors struggle with being human. This book is a great portrayal of true life.

I was pleasantly surprised that the processing of needs and desires, grief, recovery, emotional and spiritual growth came together so well in this story. A great read...
