About the Author

Denise D. Wilson, PhD, APN, ANP, FNP, has been a registered nurse since 1978 and has taught nursing since 1980. She is associate professsor of nursing for Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University, and maintains a clincal practice as a nurse practitioner in internal medicine.
