Reviewed by Christian Sia for Readers' Favorite Meet Me Under the Stars by KD Proctor is a tantalizing romance between two irresistible characters — DIY TV star Charlie and a handsome British guy, Nate. It has been three years since Charlie dumped Nate, out of fear of hurting him. She has secrets of her own, but she has never stopped loving him. Nate believes that Charlie never loved him, that she’s been cruel to him. Yet, he still can’t get over losing her. But the last wishes of Gwen, Charlie’s sister, will have the two working together to fulfill that wish, something that also stops Nate from being deported to England to face a family that has already disowned him. Will they have the courage to seize this second chance and make it work? This is what a real romance feels like — not-so-perfect, genuinely and humanly flawed characters seeking to understand who they are and how they feel, an intense emotional conflict, and a strong plot. Each character is broken in their unique way. The story has many emotional layers and it was just gorgeous watching Nate suffer, clueless of why Charlie would break up with him. KD Proctor has the gift of transporting readers into the hearts of the characters, making them feel the heat, suffer the suspense, and anticipate the outcome. The realism in this story lifts its level of entertainment and allows readers to see something of themselves in the characters. A fierce romance that will arrest your attention right up to its predictable but satisfying denouement, with writing that is colorful, filled with witticism and a rare sense of humor conveyed through exciting and engaging dialogues. Meet Me Under the Stars turns up the heat and makes sure it stays high.

This was a wonderful story about second chances. The characters are flawed, real and lovable. Charlie and Nate’s story had me crying quite a few times but it also had me laughing and smiling too. I really enjoyed Meet Me Under the Stars and would love to read more from this author. Charlie loves Nate. She’s never stopped loving him although Nate has been made to believe otherwise. Charlie left Nate years ago because she was scared and believed it was the best thing to do. She wanted to save him from the heartache that the secret she’s hiding would of caused him. After three years Nate still can’t get over losing Charlie. The fact that he still has no idea why she left him only made the pain worse. Trying to get over her he buried himself in his schooling and had countless one night stands. The problem is the heart wants what the heart wants. For Nate that’s always been Charlie. Charlie’s sister Gwen passes away leaving a Will behind that will have the two working side by side to fulfill her last wishes. They have to set up a scholarship for children to attend the camp where Charlie, Gwen, Nate and all their friends met. Charlie and Nate disagree on who the benefactor of the scholarship should be. They decided to set up a competition to see who will get the right to choose. The competition has them playing dirty and trying to one up the other. Tensions rise and truths are finally uncovered leaving the two with a lot to think about. Will the mistakes of the past keep them apart or will they both be able to forgive and learn to trust each other? Will they finally be able to get what both their hearts truly desire?

I really enjoyed Charlie and Nate's story. This was a really good second chance romance. At first I thought I wouldn't like Nate but he was a sweet guy. He was really hurt by Charlie and his actions where just to preserve his heart. Charlie has been through a lot of pain too. I understand her reasons for breaking up with Nate but I think she took way to long to open up to him. I liked Charlie but I hated that she just isolated herself. She put up this wall to like she had to do everything herself. I think she was part of the problem with the issues with her dad because she just didn't open up to him. I didn't know how Charlie and Nate were going to overcome all these issues as a couple but I really enjoyed the journey they took. All I can say is this was a really good one and I look forward to more from this author.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from IndieSage PR* 4.5 for me. I liked this! It was a fun story between two exes trying to one-up the other in order to fulfill Gwen's wishes while still doing their own thing. It was a little silly for neither to ask for help, since sharing the truth would've made things so much easier, but I can understand why neither would do so: they're both stubborn to a fault. Literally. I liked the chemistry, the connection that wasn't lost. it was fun seeing them try to seduce the other while incidentally getting seduced themselves. The looming threat that I won't name made things really interesting for me, because I never knew what and when things were going to go down. The drama and sexy times were nice, I really liked the writing style that allowed me to flow with the story. There were a lot of funny moments that lightened the mood, and some really sad ones that totally made me cry when Nate or Charlie shared their moments with someone else. It was an overall satisfying read for me that left me happy with the HEA. Cute, funny and hot with a suspenseful climax that'll push everyone to really think about their decisions.

Loved this book so much. Charlie is such a great heroine, trying to stay away from the man she loves because she saw how much pain it will cause him if she inherits the same genetic condition as her sister. But Nate loves her (and doesn't understand why she pushed him away). It was great to watch them find their way back to each other. Even when Charlie was making bad decisions and making me shake my head at her, I still understood and rooted for her. That's the mark of a good romance for me.
