Memories of Mosquitia is being published as a celebration of life and the power of love that Marc had for the beloved Miskito culture. Marc, wrote Memories of Mosquitia in 1986. The Foreword was also written in 1986, at the height of the anti-Sandinista guerrilla war, which was misreported by the pro-Sandinista U.S. media. Things have changed in Nicaragua, since this book was written, but it is being published just as Marc wrote it in 1986.
