Overview

There's me: Micah Owens. Tattoo artist at Damage Control. No parents or siblings. A past that still gives me nightmares.
And then there's her: Evangeline, the girl who saved my life and haunts my more pleasant dreams. Only she doesn't know who I really am, and telling her might well send her fleeing for the hills. She deserves better than a loser like me. She's pretty. She's clever. She's goddamn sexy and has a heart of gold.
Which is why I can't tell her. A smile from her and I'll do all I can to make her mine – including pretending to be someone I'm not, someone worth having.
Isn't love weird?

Standalone novel. No cliffhanger.

Normally I like these types of books but I couldn't really get into this one. I did finish it and it was just eehh. They story had a lot of potential but I felt as if it was rushed and was all about sex. They way they caught Blake, I wish he would have taken that it the next step. Would have made the book more interesting if he had a full psycho moment. Again felt rushed.

I had a feeling I would devour this series just like I did the Inked Brotherhood books. Jo has such a way with these men! The story of Micah and Ev is one that is so sweet and bittersweet! The reason these two know each other is just so sad, but the way they met again is part of the sweet. Everything these two have been through has been just so much. When they found each other and finally started letting each other in I was so relieved! There were so many moments of angst but there were equally amounts of super hot moments too! This book was the perfect blend of all emotions. The best part of this series is we still get to see the Inked Brotherhood family, just their family had grown. It's so amazing and I can' wait to keep going!

I was a little put off by the cover because it was a young teen but judging by the description, I thought I would give it a chance. Maybe it would be more adult. I was wrong. The story lacked originality and creativity. It was very flat. I got half way through and couldn't finish. I think if it had been a full novel, maybe it would've changed things, but as a short story..... It also needed to be proofread much better.

I have a difficult time reading a book that has a picture of a teenager on the cover. (What are you thinking?)

I read this book as part of the alpha series and Well because I love Jo Ravens books, and the start to the boys of Damaged Control Ink did not disappoint. I fell for Micah right away and love that he got his happy ending.

I love the guys from the damaged ink series and this is a good companion series to go along with it. All of the guys in Jo's books are so awsome. Not only are they good to look at but they're good to their women. Can't ask for more than that

I literally jumped to review this book because well.. it's Jo Raven and one of her boys!! Micah is the first book in the Damage Control series and he is one of the guys that work at the tattoo shop. This book wrecked me and built me up again! Micah has been through the wringer.is past was not the best, so filled with pain and he thinks he's alone in the world. He had a guardian angel that looked out for him who he thought was lost to him. Ev on the other hand thinks that she has somehow failed him in a way. Will the find each other after all this time, will Micah speak hiss truth. I loved Micah...all the heartbreak, the pain, betrayal and the love. He is a great hero sexy, sensitive, somewhat fragile yet strong. Ev is a kickass character! Strong, kind, and to stubborn to take no for an answer. Like all Ms. Ravens work it is well written with a great story. I totally recommend reading the Ink Brotherhood series along with Micah. It will give you the whole back story on the guys and they are great reads. Looking forward to reading more of the Damaged Control guys!
