Milton's Shadow

Set in 1850, the story follows Evelyn, a young woman who has recently arrived as a "clerkly" addition to the mysterious Greathall Manor. Evelyn finds herself navigating a household governed by the stern Mr. Everett and his conspiratorial brother, Preston, while being shadowed by Agatha, an enigmatic old maid who holds the house's darkest secrets.
