جوهولد إفرايم ليسنج، فيلسوف وأديب ألماني وُلد عام 1729 في مقاطعة ساكسونيا. يُعد واحدًا من رموز عصر التنوير، حيث كان له تأثير كبير على الأدب والفكر الفلسفي في أوروبا. تلقى تعليمًا في اللاهوت والطب والأدب، ولكنه غادر الجامعة بسبب الديون. كان شغفه بالمسرح واضحًا منذ صغره، وبدأ في كتابة المسرحيات الهزلية قبل أن ينشر مسرحية "مينا فون بارنهلم" في عام 1765، التي حققت نجاحًا كبيرًا. يُعتبر ليسنج مؤلفًا دراميًا رائدًا، حيث كتب مسرحيات مهمة مثل "ناتان الحكيم" و"مسرح همبورج". استمرت كتاباته في التأثير على الفكر الفلسفي والديني، حيث درس اللاهوت والفلسفة واهتم بالقضايا الإنسانية. توفي ليسنج في عام 1781، تاركًا وراءه إرثًا أدبيًا وفكريًا بارزًا.
