About the Author
Spokane author and columnist Therese Marszalek is a dynamic speaker and freelance writer. Her monthly column appeared in the Inland NW Christian News from 2000 its final issue in 2008 and over 300 of her articles have appeared in multi-denominational publications across the country. An ordained minister and founder of Breaking Out Ministries, Therese has a M.A. Div and completed Rhema Bible School.
Her books include Extraordinary Miracles in the Lives of Ordinary People (also released in audio), Miracles Still Happen (both Harrison House), Breaking Out (Publish America), From the Wilderness to the Miraculous (9-1-2010 release by Destiny Publishers) and Take Her off the Pedestal: She's Just Like You, a book to encourage and inspire women, is pending publication.
Therese has enjoyed numerous radio and television interviews. She appeared in Miracles in our Midst (and Heroes Among Us: Miracles Around Us), a Grizzly Adams production that highlighted her book Miracles Still Happen which has aired on several networks including TBN (also in DVD). She was a guest on The Testimony of Jesus TV program reaching 66 million and appeared on the Morris Cerullo Helpline TV program, filmed before a live audience at the CBS studios in Hollywood, reaching over 2.5 billion people in 150 nations.
Therese is passionate about bringing people hope and healing through Jesus Christ and His Word. She has spoken at numerous conferences and events; her messages challenge people to walk closer to Christ and bring encouragement to the weary. Known for her transparency and spiritual depth, Therese draws her audience to a place of vulnerability where God can do His greatest work of transformation.
Active in women's ministries since being born again in 1979, Therese's genuine love for God and people breathes hope into the hopeless. Her personal experience of searching for Christian truth and longing for a more intimate relationship with Christ birthed her speaking and writing ministry as well as her contagious zeal for discipleship in the body of Christ. She also has developed and taught Christian writers' seminars with great success.
