England, 1840, Cassandra Austen's sister Jane died over twenty years ago. She has spent the time visiting friends and relatives and striving to maintain her sister’s reputation. Now that she is over 60 and in frail health, she decides to visit the family of her fiancé, who died when they were young. She wants to find the letters her sister left. When she finally reads the letters, they contain secrets about both Jane and her. Should she save or burn the letters?
