Miranda and Nolan are best friends so it's not a big deal when she has to come up with a fiance short notice so her family will get off her back. Nolan has always loved Miranda much more than a friend but he has never made a move until now. And although she is thinking fake umm nope this sexy man has it all figured out. The O'Connors are one big loving family and I just love Momma O'Connor. I am sure you could read this without the prior books but I would recommend you begin with book 1 and enjoy each one.

Katie Reus - Mistletoe Me, Baby (O'Connor Family Series - Book 4) Even though this is another “fake fiancé” story it is written in the Katie Reus style who keeps it fresh and you guessing what will happen next. The last book in the series focus on the last O’Connor, Nolan, that has not found his HEA yet. Miranda Flores’ worked at the local community center in Holly and made it clear ten (10) months ago that she wasn’t looking for a relationship because she had been given temporary guardianship of her nephew, Mateo. Her priority had to be Mateo, while Miranda’s sister was in rehab. Too keep her parents off her back about getting married and settling down, she kind of told them that she had a fiancé. Miranda never thought that her parents would just pop in one day and insist on meeting him. Nolan has been bidding his time until he could start dating Miranda. When he thinks that she is out on a date, he decided he must make his move, NOW. When he found out Miranda’s need for a fake fiancé, Nolan was all in. His plan was to become her real fiancé before this “gig” was up. Find out if Nolan can pull this off, or will Miranda keep to her rule of no relationships for her?

Nolan and Miranda have been friends for a long time but now circumstances help Nolan take the first step into moving their relationship to a brand new level, a level that he’d been hoping to get to for the longest time. This story had the perfect mix of sweetness, spicyness, and emotions to keep me turning the pages. I specially liked to read how family dynamics change from person to person however in the end if a family is close, they will be there for each other, supporting one another in times of need. I also liked the way Nolan continued helping Miranda even when she was too distracted to ask for his help. He truly was the perfect hero with not a flaw in sight. In short, I’d call this story a comfort read perfect for this time of year and I recommend it for anyone looking for a Holiday read. ** I was gifted a copy of this book and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.**

I would recommend Mistletoe Me, Baby – (The O’Connor Family Series) by Katie Reus, as a quick holiday read. Inventing a fake fiancé to get her family to leave her alone was the only plan Miranda Flores had in telling her parents she was engaged. However, when they decide to visit her for the holidays she is stuck with her “little white lie” and no fiancé. In steps Nolan O’Connor, her best friend, who agrees to be her “fake” fiancé. Nolan has secretly fallen for Miranda and has just been waiting for the opportunity to move from the friend slot to something way more than that. He has his work cut out for him with Miranda’s ready-made family and her unwillingness to let anyone too close. As news of their “engagement” filters though the town the deception becomes more and more complicated – Nolan doesn’t want to pretend and Miranda is all about keeping it fake. The characters in this novella were well developed and very likeable. The whole idea of a town that centers on Christmas 365 days a year is quaint and homey. There is a definite heat and chemistry between Miranda and Nolan.

Katie Reus is one of my favorite authors. I have enjoyed the O'Connor family since it started. This one is Miranda and Nolan's story. Both wanting to make their friendship more. But both are worried about "messing" up the friendship that they do have. Miranda deceived her family and has to find a way to fix it. This was a quick read. I wished it was a little longer but still an enjoyable story.

Mistletoe Me, Baby is a sweet little holiday read. This time it's Nolan O'Conner chance at love. Anyway, Nolan has been in love with Miranda Flores since she arrived in town. However, she friend zone Nolan, since she was taking care of her nephew. So, Nolan basically biding his time to make a move, and he finds his opportunity when Miranda asks him to be her fake fiancee. Seems like a lucky break for Nolan. Nolan figures it would be a perfect time to show Miranda that they are meant to be together. Sounds so simple, but life throws a few curve balls along the way. Mistletoe Me, Baby is a quick little holiday read. For the most part everything works out. Kind like a Hallmark channel kind of read. Yes, Nolan and Miranda do get their happy ever after, but there are few bumps like I said. So, if you are in the mood for a quick holiday read, Mistletoe Me, Baby might be calling your name. Nolan and Miranda are best friends so of course he would have her back when she needed it. Miranda's sister makes Miranda guardian of her son, Miranda's parents unexpectedly decide to visit for the holidays, and Miranda's parents want to meet her fiance. Nolan does what best friends do and supports Miranda through it all, including becoming her fiance. Can he convince Miranda that they were meant to be more than friends and take their relationship to the next level? I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

A fake engagement between two people who are attracted to each other has the potential to rock the status quo. Miranda Flores and her best friend, Nolan O'Connor are attracted to each other but the do their best to hide it. How will they handle pretending they are an engaged couple? Miranda is raising her nephew. I admired how she stepped in and took care of Mateo when her sister went to rehab. I swooned at the flirty dialogue between Miranda and Nolan. He's such a good man. He cares for this sweet woman and wants her in his life. I was touched at how supportive he was when tragedy struck. What a keeper! I'm sorry to see the last of the O'Connors. They are such a riotous family. Katie Reus excels in writing characters that have a special spark that makes you care for them. Mistletoe Me, Baby is a perfect holiday treat. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

MISTLETOE ME, BABY has everything you want in a Christmas romance! A strong, stubborn heroine almost too proud to ask for help. A hero that’s fiercely loyal, loving, caring and determined to claim the woman he loves… even when she’s asking him to get out of her life. And a quaint little town in Holly, North Carolina where it’s Christmas all year round as the perfect backdrop for this short-and-sweet love story! Miranda and Nolan paired beautifully together. Their chemistry was off-the-charts sexy and very steamy. I loved how tender and patient Nolan was, especially when Miranda was pushing him away. He stood strong and never gave up on his love. That’s the kind of love I’m looking for! You can’t go wrong with MISTLETOE ME, BABY or any of the O’Connor Family books! All of them are full of heart, family and love that will have you coming back for more! ***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. To me, this book is about family. Miranda and her nephew Matteo, Nolan and the entire O'Connor clan, Miranda and her parents, and then Nolan, Miranda, and Matteo. And though this is ultimately a romance book between Nolan and Miranda, these relationships were so much part of the story and their interaction between each other. When Nolan finally stepped up and decided to let Miranda know that his feelings were more than friendship, I cheered, because he was all in, no hesitation. And even though Miranda was slow to come around, she just couldn't resist his charms. I so loved this book. Because it's a shorter story, it draws you in quick and is non stop until the end. I enjoy a friends to lovers book and this one got even better happening during the holidays. If you're looking for a quick holiday read to get you into the holiday spirit this book will do it. I have to say I would love to live in Holly where it's Christmas 24/7. Just ask my friends and family. I loved Nolan and Miranda together.they're so cute and sweet. Iloved the banter and humor. I could feel the sexual tension between the two, but also how close they are to one another. Nolan is prime book boyfriend material especially after reading how he was there for Miranda. I did tear up a bit because it's heartbreaking. Over all a great read that I would highly suggest you read.

A family and holiday themed contemporary romance... This is the fourth novella in the O’Connor Family series that can be read as a stand-alone. When Miranda Flores moved to the Christmas themed town of Holly, North Carolina ten months ago Nolan O’Connor was definitely interested but with everything going on in her life at the time Miranda wasn’t so friends they became. Nolan has wanted more but didn’t want to ruin the friendship and is beginning to think he’s waited too long and then a situation arises that he has no qualms taking advantage of, to help his best friend and finally show her how much she means to him. Moving away from the sphere of her parents in Florida was a breath of fresh air for Miranda, she’s had issues with her mother and the distance let her walk her own path yet she’s still finds herself tied to her mother’s approval and tells her family she has a fiancé so they’ll drop the topic of her being alone which she isn’t totally being guardian for her eleven year old nephew while her sister is in a drug rehabilitation center. Parents can be surprising and informed they are arriving in the morning and looking forward to meeting Miranda’s intended leaves her in a bind but her best friend Nolan agrees to help. Nolan’s helping doesn’t go according to Miranda’s hastily concocted plan and she’s confused by his actions. Sometime during the months Miranda had found herself fantasizing about her best friend, a friendship she doesn’t want to lose and with guardianship of her eleven year old nephew she’s a ready-made family. Is it possible that he could really be interested? This was a sweet contemporary romance with no angst or serious relationship drama combining the trope of best friends to lovers with that of fake fiancé laced with a meddling family and holiday theme. Miranda came across as a strong woman on her own yet unable to stand up to her mother, the situation would never have occurred if she’d communicated honestly. But then lack of communication is evident in this story, both Nolan and Miranda failed to communicate their growing desires over the months of companionship, this was easily seen from the inner thoughts shared with the reader. The protagonists were afraid of losing a friendship that had come to mean so much to them, it took an outside force to push them in the direction they were ready to go. If you never take a risk you will be left with regrets, it’s always the what ifs that will haunt you. An advanced reading copy was obtained from the author.

This is the 4th book in the O'Connor series. This one covers Nolan O'Connor and Miranda Flores. They are best friends although Nolan has wanted to be more than friends for months. Miranda has told her parents she is engaged to try to get them off her back about dating while she is taking care of her nephew. Now her parents are coming to visit for Christmas and she has to come up with the fake fiance for them. Which entails asking Nolan to do it for her and Nolan coming up with the idea of showing her that he may be playing the fake fiance for her parents but his feelings are anything but fake! This was a quick, cute read! As a Katie Reus book you know it's going to be good and it definitely was! I just wish it had been longer. Miranda is a sweet woman who is handling such horrible things with a strength of character that you can't help but admire. Nolan is a sweet man who is always there for friends and family but he knows that he wants and needs more from Miranda and is determined to show her what they could have. It really is a good read, just too short in my opinion!

This is a quick read set in our favorite holiday town Holly, the forever Christmas town. I believe this is the O'Connor, Nolan. He's in love with his best friend Miranda Flores that we've met in earlier stories. Miranda is just 10 months new to Holly and loves it. She left Florida to distance her from her manipulative family who nit-picks everything. She's found herself with the guardianship of her 10 year old nephew, Mateo, while her older sister, Gloria is in rehab. Hopefully it takes this time even though Miranda loves having Mateo. She told Nolan she wasn't interested in relationships with getting Mateo and herself settled into Holly. Nolan has holding her in the best friend category gritting his teeth the whole time. Miranda's parents decide to make an unexpected visit to Holly and now she's got to ask Nolan to pretend to be her fiance while her parent's are in town. He jumps at the chance! And so Miranda's confusion and struggle begins when she finds he's all in. Crisis hits and Nolan is there fore her. She finds love and a relationship are not really that hard to handle at all. I love all the Holly stories and this one is just icing. Thank you Katie for the free NetGalley ARC of this story for a review! Loved it!

She needs a fake fiancé… With the holidays fast approaching, Miranda Flores makes up a fake fiancé so her well-meaning family will get off her back. She just never expected them to suddenly show up on her doorstep a couple weeks before Christmas, wanting to spend the holidays with her. So she turns to Nolan O’Connor, her sexy best friend, and asks him for the favor of a lifetime: she needs him to act the part of her fiancé until her parents leave town. He wants forever… Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s already fallen for? No problem. Nolan agrees to Miranda’s fake engagement scheme because as far as he’s concerned, she’s the one. But he plays his role too well, because soon the entire town thinks they’re engaged and things get more complicated—especially since he can’t pretend with her anymore. Then tragedy strikes and Miranda tries to shut him out, but Nolan won’t let her. He’ll do whatever it takes to convince her that he wants to make her his forever. Review: Lots of emotion packed into this short story. Back to my favorite Christmas town, Holly. In this installment we have Nolan's story. Nolan and Miranda have been best buddies since she came to town. They both do not know that they both want something more. Help to push them comes along in the form of visiting parents and a fake engagement. What ensues is the fake turning into the real thing when tragedy happens. I ran through so many emotions reading this story, happy, sad, anxious and sensuousness. There really is a lot contained in this novella length story. Nolan and Miranda are both stand-up, likable and relatable characters, who you cannot help wanting to be together. Even though this is the fourth book in the series, you will never feel lost reading them our of order. Of course, if you have read the other stories in the series you will see a lot of familiar faces. A great addition to the series and a perfect short read to get you in the mood for the holidays. 5Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the Author.*

Nolan and Miranda have been friends since she moved to Holly. She has guardianship of her nephew and her life is rather too complicated to date so Nolan accepts that they will be friends and nothing more. However, when Miranda must present a fiancé to her family, he sees the opportunity to change the status quo. As all good alpha heroes do, he begins claiming her inch by inch until she’s not sure just what the heck is going on. When tragedy strikes, the relationship is strained and they both are struggling to figure out where things go from there. The first half of this was lighthearted and fun with enough steamy goodness to boil your hot chocolate. However, things definitely take a darker turn and the strength of what they’ve started is tested. I enjoyed this quick read and was surprised by the dramatic turn it took. With “Mistletoe Me, Baby” as a title I was expecting all tinsel and glitter. It was actually quite a pleasant surprise. I would have loved if this had been worked into a full book. Gotta say though, unless I missed it, there wasn’t a twig of mistletoe to be found in the story except at the end and even that wasn’t real. Overall, it didn’t really matter. There was just too much Nolan deliciousness to complain about anything. This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by the author. Dual POV Safe Possible Triggers - drug addiction

quick read: wonderful holiday love story MISTLETOE ME, BABY is the fourth instalment (and novella) in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult O’CONNOR FAMILY romance series focusing on the O’Connor family of Holly, North Carolina. This is Miranda Flores, and Nolan O’Connor’s story line. MISTLETOE ME, BABY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Miranda and Nolan) MISTLETOE ME BABY follows the fake engagement between co-workers at the local community centre Miranda Flores, and Nolan O’Connor. Ten months earlier, to escape her smothering family Miranda left Florida to set down roots in Holly, North Carolina-a small town that celebrates Christmas year round. As full-time guardian to her sister’s eleven year-old son Mateo, Miranda spends most of her time working to support a child she loves as her own. When Miranda’s parents announce a surprise holiday visit, our heroine panics in the face a lie she told to keep her mother off of her back-Miranda needs a fiancé, and the perfect man for the job is her best friend Nolan O’Connor-the man with whom Miranda is secretly in love. What ensues is the building friends to lovers relationship between Miranda and Nolan-a relationship that has simmered for close to ten months, and the potential fall out when Miranda places an end date on their ‘fake’ romance. MISTLETOE ME, BABY is a story of family and friendship; heartbreak and grief; love and happily ever after. Tragedy will strike the Flores family leaving a grieving family struggling with the loss but none more so than our story line heroine. The premise is sweet, engaging and entertaining; the characters are colorful, real and charismatic; the romance is passionate and seductive without the use of sexually graphic, over the top language and text. MISTLETOE ME, BABY is a quick read; a wonderful holiday love story; a welcome addition to the O’Connor Series by Katie Reus.

Katie Reus is one of my top favorite authors. She has a knack for writing the dominant Alphas I love without turning them into jerks. Her Alphas are protective and really know how to take care of their woman, while staking a claim that tells every male in vicinity to back off. Now that’s sexy! I gotta admit, I was a bit worried she was changing things up with this book when Nolan stayed as just a friend at first. I never should have doubted. Once Nolan found his opening to stake his claim, Miranda didn’t know what hit her. My favorite part of this book was when tragedy struck. We truly got to see how much Nolan loved Miranda and how he took care of her even when she pushed him away. There is no way you won’t fall for Nolan. This is a novella, so the friends only part is short and the pushing away is even shorter. The tragedy is sad but won’t bring the story down. This is a standalone but she has a book on each sibling in the O’Connor Family. You’re gonna want to check them all out.

What do you do to get your family off your back, Miranda Flores makes up a fake fiancee. When her family suddenly shows up for the holidays and wants to meet her fiancee Miranda asks her best friend for help. Nolan O’Connor, her sexy best friend, she needs him to act the part of her fiancé until her parents leave town. Nolan has been in love with Mirada since the moment they met. Can he prove to her how hereally feels. Will Miranda give in and admit that she is in love with Nolan. Miranda and Nolan are perfect. I loved this amazing story.

starsAnother sweet addition to the O'Connor books #MistletoeME -----Miranda and Nolan have been the best of friends for about a year now. Nolan has wanted to start up a relationship with Miranda the entire time he has known her but she just put him on the friend zone…until now, 10 months later. Miranda is ready to try and move past the friend zone but is afraid to upset the apple cart. Same goes for Nolan for he cares too much to lose her ….then Miranda gets word her family is coming to town for a Christmas visit to meet Miranda’s new, completely fake fiancé, then Miranda turns to her best friend Nolan and asks him to play the part of her “loving” fiancée and he immediately agrees. The story takes place in Holly, North Carolina where it’s Christmas all year round which means dreams can come true. I found this to be a sweet and dreamy novella about two people who were in love with one another but didn’t want to upset the status quo until they literally had to. The only angst in this story is the one Miranda has to deal with regarding her family. I loved the Christmas setting and the magic and emotions. I found Nolan to be a dream guy-strong , dependable, and sexy while Miranda is sassy, strong and likeable. These two are made for one another and I loved the setup and the plot. The ending went the way it needed to. Family is the tone for this story and supporting those you need to the darkest time. I think it’s a good theme. I do wish this story was a tad bit longer but otherwise loved this story. My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

A great friends-to-lovers story! More holiday fun with the O’Connor clan! Nolan O’Connor knows that Miranda is it for him, but as her best friend he’s pigeon-holed into the role of “friend.” Miranda Flores told a little white lie to her family about having a fiancé, so her family wouldn’t worry so much about her being on her own. Now, only weeks before Christmas her parents are making a surprise visit and want to meet their new son-in-law to-be. Cue the panic attack! Miranda must find someone who’ll pretend they’re engaged until her parents leave town. At a loss, Miranda turns to her best friend, Nolan and asks the favor of a lifetime. Nolan immediately says yes, and looks forward to being with the woman he’s fallen for, even if it’s only pretend… for now. A great friends-to-lovers story; Nolan and Miranda are so much fun. I love visiting the O’Connors and soaking in the homey, sweetness of Holly, North Carolina. Recommended holiday-themed read! *ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

Cute story full of family strength and love. The characters are strong individuals and great friends. Taking the next step could destroy what they have. An untruth becomes real as tragedy strikes. Is family strength and new found love enough? Great read, terrific series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

I have recently started reading Ms Reus’s books (Redemption series) and have fallen in love with her style. Though this book does not have the intensity and angst of that series, it is just as touching. It’s a stand alone and if like me you haven’t read the previous books, you’ll be fine. But I think you will agree with me , that we might need to “visit” her other stories in the series, if they are as good as this one. The story centers around Miranda Flores and Nolan O’Connor. She recently moved to Holly, NC from Florida looking for a change and a new beginning now that she is the guardian of her 11 year old nephew. A boy whose Mom’s addiction is destroying her. Since they met 10 months ago. Nolan and Miranda have developed a friendship, neither revealing their true feelings for the other. But when Miranda’s parents make a surprise visit to Holly, NC, Nolan becomes her “fake” boyfriend. Things get complicated and tragedy occurs. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles presented or will they miss their HEA? Only a talented author can compact in a novella a well developed and complex plot line, as well as interesting characters. She not only manages to give us a romance, but she also delves on the family dynamics between parents and children no matter what age, addiction, guardianship and tragedy. Kudos to this talented author. I was gifted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
