Mockingjay, the conclusion to the Hunger Games trilogy, offers more action, a darker tone, and satisfying conclusions to all subplots. Mockingjay follows Katniss Everdeen as she joins the rebel fighters of District 13 to save her friend, Peeta, and defeat the corrupt Capitol. After Peeta is abducted by the Capitol, Katniss embarks on a physically and emotionally demanding journey. As the Mockingjay, she is a pawn for the rebels and experiences similarities between her current role and that of a tribute in the Games. She trains for battle, works to unite fellow rebels, and plots to capture President Snow while dealing with romantic complications and the loss of her only home.

Suzanne Collins introduces new problems and characters in Mockingjay while presenting resolutions to the entire trilogy. Katniss is able to push aside her own grief with the distractions of impending battles against the Capitol. Suzanne Collins satisfies fans of the trilogy with an enticing storyline and engaging characters who fight for ultimate freedom in Mockingjay. Witness your favorite characters transform as you discover the intense conclusion of the Hunger Games trilogy.

This is the perfect sidekick. It really helps you to understand the setting and who everyone is. The character analysis is the perfect reminder to help you understand why each person is important in different parts of the book. The chapter by chapter analysis really helps you better understand what Katniss is thinking and feeling throughout the book and points out symbols that might otherwise go unnoticed. It points out things like the rose symbolizing President Snow and the pearl that Peeta gave Katniss being soothing to her. It also has a section that points out all the major themes and symbols to help better you better understand the story.

I had found book buddy for another series and loved it! The format of these books is awesome to use for book clubs. I am the leader of a book club, and I have gone through and purchased book buddy for the entire Hunger Games series. The layout of the sidekick is perfect for book club discussions. We can discuss it by chapter, theme, or character. This really is an amazing companion. I cannot wait to get through the whole series with them!

The Hunger Games books were easily some of my favorite books, but I read them a long time ago. With the third movie coming out soon, I wanted to make sure everything was fresh in my mind. I ran across these Side Kicks to the books and decided to get this one for the third book, Mockingjay. The Side Kick is perfect for reminding me what happened, the symbolism, but also for delving deeper into the some of the meanings I didn’t think about as I was reading the actual book. I never stopped to consider how alike the Capitol and District 13 were in their philosophies, rules and in their treatment of Katniss; This Side Kick really pointed that out to me. I’m ready for the third movie (and then the fourth) thanks to the Side Kick!
