Squirrel is nervous as he thinks the police will arrest him for stealing the moon. This moon, which squirrel believes is the round and yellow object sitting in his tree, has be stolen and the thief has forgotten where he has put it so squirrel has to get rid of it before the police arrive and put squirrel in jail. He solves his problem with the moon but in doing so, he creates problems for other animals in the forest until together they are able to solve it. I thought this was a cute book. I really enjoyed the illustrations, the attention to detail and how the cheese was the most colorful item on the page. The animals worked together and they did the best of their ability and carried through with their plan- great themes for children’s books.
