Although described as an African legend, this simple folktale, illustrated in happy pastels, does not seem to be from any particular region. Mr. Sun asks Mr. Sea to visit him and to bring all his children along. Soon though, Sun's house is filled with starfish and crayfish and water, and as even more big and little fish appear, Mr. Sun must leave his house and go up to the sky, where he now resides. The format is small; the concepts are easy to understand; and the pictures, with their geometric shapes, are designed for young eyes. A pleasant introduction to reading.
