I read the description of these 3 stories as "gentle Mysteries". I think that is the perfect description. They are enjoyable light reading. These being the first 3 stories I am interested in where the characters go from here. Unfortunately it seems many of the later titles are out of print.

Meh. This is an omnibus edition that contains several paperbacks, in this case, the first several in this series. They were OK. I didn't think that they were particularly interesting or well-written, and I didn't think any of the characters were interesting or well-written. That said, they weren't bad, or offensive, just not very good.Like I said, "meh."

This book introduces Mrs. Jeffries and her crew of crime solving servants. They help their employer, Inspector Witherspoon, solve crimes, strictly on the Q.T. In The Inspector and Mrs Jeffries, they work on the murder of a doctor, who had more enemies than patients. In Mrs. Jeffries Dusts for Clues, Luty Belle Crookshank, asks Mrs. Jeffries' help in locating a missing person. Lots of twists, and a satisfying mystery. In The Ghost and Mrs. Jeffries, a medium is involved in a mysterious death. These are an entertaining start to a great series, and are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This series is a great place to start. The first 3 Mrs. Jeffries novels gives you the background for the rest of the series. The characters are great and I can never figure out "whodunit". Very pleasurable reading experience.
