Purpose: As stated in the preface, "The book endeavors to define our current understanding of Multiple Sclerosis - MS — in terms of diagnosis and treatment, as well as its underlying pathophysiology."
Audience: It is aimed at medical students, residents, fellows, practitioners, and all those who help to care for patients with MS. The editors and authors are experts in their field.
Features: The book is roughly divided into two broad sections: pathology and diagnosis and management. Excellent chapters throughout the book cover areas often neglected in other books on MS, such as pediatric MS or predicting the clinical course of the disease.
Assessment: This is an excellent addition to any personal or medical library of those who help to care for patients with MS. This is a terrific contribution to the field.
