Murder at the Pontchartrain

I'm Sydney Lockhart. I solve murders, most of which I'm the primary suspect. My boyfriend/partner, Ralph Dixon, and I came to the Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans to get married. Instead, Dixon's in jail for a double murder. I'm in a swamp, spying on the KKK. Helping me untangle this mess is my bubble-headed cousin Ruth who's undercover as a hotel chef. My twelve-year-old charge, Lydia LaBeau, dressed as a voodoo queen, is looking for clues at Pat O'Brien's. Rip Thigbee, a ghost detective, is my only hope. So, mix yourself a Hurricane and join me in the Big Easy for another historic hotel murder case.

Kathleen Kaska always delivers, and once again she doesn't disappoint in Murder at the Pontchartrain, the sixth book in her delightful 1950s era Sidney Lockhart Mystery Series. Kaska had me guessing whodunit until the very end, and those are the best murder mysteries.

"Pour yourself a Sazerac cocktail and enjoy a rollicking ride through New Orleans, where the food is spicy, the jazz silky smooth and the air thick with voodoo superstitions. Deadly shenanigans will keep the reader turning pages." -Daniella Bernett, author of A Mind To Murder

"Sydney Lockhart is known for her sharp, sassy, sexy hijinks, but also for her ability to solve the most complex mysteries as smartly as anyone on the planet. In Murder at the Pontchartrain, she is at her best, with the crazy characters and convoluted twists and turns, this time taking you into the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter."-Rebecca Marks, author of the Dana Cohen Mystery Series
