2.5 stars only. While these are fun books to read the growth and development is pretty stagnant. I have read a few books in the series skipping in between. The romance is still the same on again off again...the characters do not seem to learn or grow except maybe teenaged Rawlins grows up nicely. They have the exact same problems book after book. It has not mattered in the least that I skipped a few books. Missed nothing. Hate giving a bad review so will end by saying I am glad I read them. They were entertaining and a quick read.

I fell in love with the Blackbird sister and all of their escapades. Super funny and entertaining, and one of those that you cant' put down. I do hope that Nancy Martin writes more of these. Recommend highly.

This novel really picks up once you read until chapter 13. Nora has a zany & kooky family and she has plenty of family secrets to keep her busy. As Nora tries to decipher the motive for Hoyt's death she has plenty of suspects to choose from as well as try to uncover the whereabouts of the money Hoyt "gave away." Nora has her hands full juggling all her "house guests" and the Chocolate Festival that's in town along with what's happening in the lives of those around her like Emma, Michael, Lexie, Crewe, Brandi, Daniel, Eric, Ms. Zanzibar and Libby. Was it a murder or a suicide? Read Nora's story and find out.

This is a terrific series! The characters are interesting and unique. Mainline Philadelphia meets the mob through Nora & Mick. The eccentricities of the Blackbird family keep me in stitches. I'm looking forward to more hijinks from Nora's parents.

I have fallen in love with the Blackbird sisters, Nora, Libby and Emma. Good story line and great fashion. Good quick read, funny, good one liners. You can read the series out of order but characters make more sense when you start with the first in the series. I am looking forward to the next but Nancy Martin has put the Blackbird series on the shelf for now.

I was kind of disappointed in the outcome of this book. Though suspects changed throughout the book, it seemed that they went from being highly suspect to not a suspect at all very quickly. I am also kind of tired of the on again off again romance between Nora and Michael.

Enjoyed this in the series. Characters are fun to follow as they get involved in interesting situations. Would like to see more romance with Mick. Easy read when you just want to relax on a lazy day or at the beach! Good series to share with friends-
