This Halcyon Classics ebook is the third and final book in Willa Cather's "prairie trilogy."
MY ÁNTONIA tells the stories of several immigrant families who move to rural Nebraska to start new lives in America, with a particular focus on a Bohemian family, the Shimerdas. A classic western coming of age story.
Willa Sibert Cather (1873-1947) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning author best known for her novels of frontier life on the Great Plains. Cather grew up in Nebraska but lived in New York for most of her adult life and writing career. An intensely private person, Cather remained unmarried and her sexuality has become a point of contention among scholars. Her work received the Pulitzer Prize in 1923.
