School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 3-5--Vampires don't really exist-- right? Meg Swain and her brother Tre vor, who are spending the summer on Moose Island in Maine, are convinced otherwise. Their new baby-sitter, Vin cent, is really strange. He looks like a vampire, and drinks blood like one. The children are resourceful, and after do ing some research in the library, man age to get rid of him. Short paragraphs with lots of dialogue and action make this an easy recreational read. Humor ous, shadowy drawings add to the fun. Not a lot of substance here, but a nice addition for motivational reading.-- Pamela K. Bomboy, Chesterfield County Public Schools, VA
