My niece has a 5 year old and a 7 year old. The 7 year old is starting to write paragraphs in school. She told me her 7 year is reading books with a lot of dialogue (fiction), and hardly any examples of paragraphs. She asked me to help and I found several good books for her. I was SO PLEASED to find this book. The kids will both enjoy this book A LOT! It's perfect for their age levels. The content is well written and was reviewed by an authority, the illustration is colorful and clearly drawn. There are paragraphs of 1 to 4 sentences. There is one paragraph of 5 sentences. The sentences vary from simple sentences to sentences with clauses. Just right for starting to learn to write. My niece is very happy! I also got 'My Little Golden Book About Dinosaurs', 'The Kitten Who Thought He Was A Mouse' (another Golden book) and 'Level 2 Science Let's Read and Find Out' a book about autumn leaves for them. Great books for their ages, and good examples of paragraphs.
