My Unbroken Heart by Adrianne Byrd

Can an old lie turn into true love?

Bad boy and sole owner of a successful chain of gentlemen clubs across the nation, Quentin Hinton has no time, patience or interest in love. Not after his brother, Sterling had stolen who he believed to be his soul mate years ago. That devastating experience with the fickle emotion has chewed him up and spit him out. None of the women in his infamous black book or the ladies who shimmy on his club's poles have been able to pull him out of his funk. He's taken his problem to doctors, churches, and once a palm reader. No one, it seems, can mend his broken heart. But that doesn't mean that his demons or rather--love--is through with him. There's someone he's overlooked, but when he least expects it, love shows up in the middle of the road--already wearing a wedding dress.

Worth every bit of the wait

Adrianne Byrd is a master story teller, and our favorite bad boy's long awaited story was definitely worth the wait. Quentin's story will take the reader through every emotion, laughing out loud, tears, the love and complications of family and so many other emotions that by the time you get to the end of this book you will be exhausted. I've loved every book in the series leading up to Q's story, and came away as if I knew each character personally. Ms. Byrd your gift of connecting your readers intimately with your characters and weaving such wonderful stories makes you simply the best. I can't wait for part two of Q's story. It's a good thing we will have some time to collect ourselves and prepare for the next edition you slayed us with this one. Well done!

The other Hinton & King books were great. But who makes us wait all this time for Q's story only to find out we'll have to keep waiting for the ending...in an upcoming book! And on top of that this story isnt realistic in any way...i cant imagine this being someones fantasy either. Q was a complete d-bag...not sure what woman is actually attracted to that type of guy. The gay agenda is in full effect with Daniel/Daniella. Too many people in the story...kinda gets confusing. Unpredictabe, yes. Drama & laughs, sure. But Im a bit pissed at how this turned out. Couldve been more about their family relationships and how they dealt with everything.

I have purchased a lot of books by the author and can say that I have enjoyed reading everyone of them. But this I'm at last for words I'm all for doing something new and I hope the next book is better then this one. I'm not fan of cliffhangers that cost $10.00 I may never find out what happened at this rate I don't have problem paying this much for a good read but this one did not do for me.

I am only 95 pages in and i am very disappointed. Too much crazy, unnecessary dialog. The first three King stories were great and the writting was great. This one feels like a rush job by an amateur. So far it is not worth $10. Wish i could get my money back. I really want to put it aside and read something else but after spending that much money on it i have to finish. Normally i can read a good book in a day, i have been on this one for two days and have only managed 95 pages. Please tell me that it will get better.

After all the years i have waited for this story i am VERY Disappointed at the ending. I very much dislike cliff hangers if that is what this is. And i paid twice as much for this book than i ever have. That not right ms. Byrd.

Books to long, then when they are finally together, you throw in another book. And we can't get the book yet. So we are left waiting for the ending. Why does he get to books anyway.

I have been waiting for Q’s story seems like forever and OMG it was all I expected and so much more. Ms Byrd kept me captivated with all the twist and turns of events Quentin went through on his journey to understand why is he being hunted by is brother’s wife spirit who is still alive. This story defiantly answers my question I had about Quentin’s broken heart. But still I was left with a cliff hanger ending not happy about that. The only other question I have is why does the book cover of My Unbroken Heart resemble the man on the cover of For Always by Bette Ford? Maybe they should of kept the originally cover to My Unbroken Heart

While I enjoyed the story, Ms Byrd should invest in a good editor. There was incorrect word usage, several typos and grammar errors and at times they detracted from the story; it took a moment to understand what the author was trying to say. Also, the story did not seem that much longer than Ms. Byrd's other books. Why the additional cost? Overall, I would give this effort 3.5 stars.
