About the Author

Laura Sweat Holmes is associate professor of New Testament and associate dean of graduate studies at Seattle Pacific University and Seminary, where she has taught since 2010. She earned a B.A. in religious studies and history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Div. and a Ph.D. (biblical studies) from Princeton Theological Seminary.

George Lyons is emeritus professor of New Testament at Northwest Nazarene University. For 36 years, he taught New Testament and Greek, first at Olivet Nazarene University and then at Northwest Nazarene University. He earned a B.A. in Biblical literature at Olivet Nazarene College, an M.Div at Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies at Emory University.
