NEAR HEAVEN'S SHORE

These poems have been written over a period of about thirty-six years, as God gave me the ideas for each of them. That is not to say that God gave me the exact words for each poem. Some were written in a matter of minutes. Others were mulled over for a while before they were completed. One poem, The Good Lord Took A liking To Me, sat in the back of my mind for two years before I wrote the poem. At that point, it was finished in less than half an hour.
