Overview

Nick Stark had known Addison West for quite some time. Although they'd never met in person they shared the same nightmare?both were unwilling participants. However, through these dreams they had formed a bond between them. And a telepathic connection. So when out of the blue, Addie contacted Nick and told him she had seen some things that she shouldn't have and she was next on the killer's list, Nick didn't hesitate to come to her rescue.

Nick had known for some time that Addie was to be his?why else would they share the same dream? But he was in no hurry to form emotional attachments. Never having much in the way of a decent family life, he didn't know much about love. And with the deep emotional scars he bore from an abusive childhood, he didn't want to bring that burden onto another soul?especially Addie.

Addie had her own baggage. Her father had been forcing her to marry an abusive man?he told her it was her duty as his daughter to obey him. Addie wasn't having any part of it, so she ran.... She had been hiding for the last five years.

Nick may not have wanted any attachments but he couldn't ignore the beauty he'd rescued. But there were things he had to tell her...about all of them...about Steele Bennett's group. He wasn't sure how she fit into all this....

Nick is haunted by his past and dreams about his future. He dreams about a beautiful women who he knows is his but it always ends with her death. Is she real or just a dream? Addison has been hiding from a man she is being forced to marry. Sharing the dreams with Nick gives them a connection and when she is in danger she calls to him to help her. I really liked Nick, while he is quiet and strong he is afraid for his friends. facing your fears is never easy and when you are being tormented by the ghost of those fears everything is harder. Finding Addie is just what he needs to concur those fears. she gives him the strength to fight his demons and set his fear free. My heart goes out to these strong men that have been so abused. Their past has made them the strong men they are and given them purpose to help those who need it. Addie is a wonderful character, she is strong herself and has great incite. I love how the women blend with the men, it is like two pieces of a puzzle that finally come together to make a whole picture. The storyline is intense, the drama is all consuming, exciting and even has some great humor. I love the ghosts as supporting characters, they themselves have some great personalities and make me smile. The look at the hear after is interesting and a bit frightening making me wonder how many souls are still hanging out waiting for someone like the group to help them find justice.

I don't know if it's me, but I just think this series is getting more and more depressing with each new match. Nick Stark is in no hurry to find a mate like his friend Steele. After an abusive childhood he has emotional scars that he knows no woman would want to be attached to. But after having the nightmares that star Addison West he knows she's someone important to him. But how can he keep her safe when he dreams that she's killed every night. Addie has been hiding from her father for the past 5 years. Being forced to marry and older abusive man as part of her duty to her father isn't in her future plans. But when she witnesses a murder and is next she contacts the only person she can think who will protect her. When Nick and Addie come together they must work together to keep her father at bay and keep a murderer from trying to get to Addie. But Nick also has to let Addie in on the group secret about what he is and how she fits in.

I love this author. This book has a very different voice and skill level than her prior work.

This book is not for the faint of heart. Just as in the first book of the series (Steele) it has more heartbreak. On that note, it's 153 pgs on my nook hd. Worth the money, but be prepared.

This is the second book in the Justice Series and I have to say I'm loving this series. Nick is a necromancer and works for Steele. He shares this connection with a woman he has only met in his dreams but he knows as she does that they are meant to be together. Addie West comes from a very wealthy family and her father is forcing her to marry someone she doesn't want to. Her grandmother helps her escape and for five years no one finds her. Nick and Addie can talk to each other thru their minds and she tells him she is in trouble in a barn - that someone is trying to kill her. Can Nick get to her in time before this crazy woman kills her? This is definitely a must read and would recommend to everyone.
