Baseball's biggest player is about to get played.

I love women and women love me.
It's not my fault I'm irresistible. Okay, I may be a little cocky too.
All I have to do is post a picture of myself shirtless with my cat, Snickers, and the women flock to me.
It probably helps that I'm good with my bat and balls.

A selfie, a smile, and I have them in bed--but never in a relationship.
Until Carrie entered the game.
She may not know it, but she owns me. And I'm not letting her go.

I'm a professional. No, not THAT kind of professional.
I'm an orthopedic physician for the St. Pete Mantas and my job is everything.
I love the game and I love my players ... but I never fall in love with any of them.
Especially not players like Wes. Especially Wes.

He thinks life is one big game.
One sexy, romantic, and sometimes sweet, game that's left me confused and little bit worried...
I may have actually fallen for the ultimate player.

I'll have to beat him at his own game if I have any shot at walking away with my heart intact.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is #6 in the series and I have never read this author before. This book is supposed to stand alone but at times I felt very lost in the story. I would definitely read #5 Summer Heat (LINK) before this story because many, many scenes run concurrent with that book and the previous couples story in Summer Heat left me at times lost. This book also goes back and forth a lot. This is not my favorite way for authors to tell a story. Most times I ignore the back in time scenes but in this story it really was a huge part of the story so I could not do that. The actual current story which happens to start in Vegas where Carrie and Wes wake up married, that part I enjoyed. I tend to like books in the present and to be honest the past scenes with Carrie did not make me love her. She essentially is a one night stand type of girl and to some degree she targets Wes. But she does want a relationship, she just wants a one night stand. However, Wes well he is a fantastic character. I beyond loved him in the present and in the past. He totally made this book as he is hot, sexy and well he pulls out all the stops to win Carrie for FOREVER. Did I love this story? No. It was a good read but the authors style of zipping in the past and then to the present is not what I enjoy in books. However she does a great job of telling the story and she created a character to love with Wes. Would I read another book of hers? Summer Heat sounded interesting and I actually liked the two characters of Roman and June where in this book I did not love Carrie. I definitely think that you should absolutely at least read that story before reading this story.

I so loved this book. It grabbed my attention because Wes is a baseball player and Carrie works for a baseball team. Wes really had my attention because he's a catcher, just ask my friends and family how much I like catchers. Then Wes got very irresistible because he owns a cat named Snickers. Then just add in how he doesn't give up on Carrie and the way he does the little things, yup complete swoon worthy material. He's going on my top book boyfriend list for sure! Winner all around in my book. He just has to convince Carrie what true love is supposed to look and feel like.

What a sweet, funny sexy story! Told in double POV as well as past and present, it tells the story of Carrie Walker and Wes Allen. Carrie is an orthopedic surgeon for the St. Pete Mantas, a Florida based baseball team from Tampa. Wes plays for the Waves, another Florida teamed based in Jacksonville. One of Carrie’s two best friends, Zoe spots Wes in her Instagram account and shows his picture to Carrie. It’s insta-interest and lust from that moment on. She dreams of meeting him, just to get him out of her system. Unbeknownst to either girl, Wes knows some of their friends and he and Carrie eventually do meet and the attraction is immediately off the scales. It doesn’t take them long to get down and dirty only to be caught with their pants down by their mutual best friends, this time June and her soon to be husband, Roman. The following six weeks in an up and down ride of will they, won’t they, culminating in a spur of the moment wedding in Vegas. That’s just the start of the shenanigans these two get up to. Carrie leads Wes on a merry dance while she tries to decide if she wants to stay married or whether they’ve just made the biggest mistake of their lives. Grab your copy and laugh along, get frustrated and root for the hot alpha male who doesn’t know if he’s coming or going in this sexy tale.

Are you in the mood for a baseball romance plus a wedding in Vegas? Well you will be in luck because this book has both. Wes is a MLB Catcher but he has his work cut out for him to catch Carrie. Carrie avoids love at all costs and doesn't give in too easily. Wes is so sweet and fun loving. There is lots of hot chemistry between them. Wes just has to work really hard to get her to give in to the feelings that she avoids. This book goes back and forth from present time to when their relationship started about 6 weeks prior. It is a super fun and easy read. Enjoy!
