I love that there is a Bible for Teen Girls! I know how much I've heard even adults say they can't understand how the bible is written, so having such a valuable resource for my daughter is very helpful! I especially love that the promises of God are all highlighted throughout the bible which is easy to spot even on a very rush day! I enjoy having devotions with my children and sometimes they are just so short, so having these highlighted notes are just perfect. My daughter already knows a few of the authors involved, so it's always great to learn how to navigate the teen life with some precious help from above. This bible will make a very nice gift for any child!

As we close in on the New Year I begin to think of new Bibles for my loved ones. I like to seek out a new Bible that will specifically target the person I am giving it to. One of the people on my list this year is a sweet girl that just entered the teenage years. The NIV Bible for Teen Girls has her name all over it! The pictures of this book just don't do it justice. The cover is gorgeous. I love the doodly feel of it. Those little lovebirds appear in the graphics on the cover and throughout the book. The color palette is very appealing with a shabby chic feel. While I like the visual look of this Bible, what really made me pick it up is the contents. With so many mixed messages for our girls this version is a wonderful encapsulation of what real girl power is. There are numerous character profiles of important women in the Bible along with daily readings from some popular authors like Bethany Hamilton, Annie Downs, and Christine Caine. I think my absolute favorite thing is the pink highlights throughout that feature the promises of God in Scripture. Makes me want to do that same thing to my current Bible. When you flip the book open your eyes immediately go to that particular verse. Perfect uplift for everyone but especially fitting for teens in the midst of those turbulent years. If you have a teen girl in your life I would highly recommend you get a copy of this particular Bible for her. It will show her that you love her but more importantly the words that this book contain will reveal to her just how much her heavenly Father loves her. I received a copy of this Bible to facilitate my review.

I still have the same Bible I owned in my teens. It’s dog-eared and pages are falling out. There are little pieces of paper and memories that tucked away between it’s pages. While my Bible is special to me, to my children it’s worn out and they wanted their own Bibles to grow up with and call their own. The “NIV Bible For Teen Girls” is a New International Version of the Bible designed for teen girls living in today’s world. I love that it is a hard covered edition. The hard cover makes it perfect for packing on week-end retreats and taking to church. Often the pages in Bibles are super thin, the pages in this Bible have a thicker feel to them. They don’t tear as easily as my old Bible. Each Book of the Bible has a brief introduction that covers 4 key points: 1) When Did This Happen? 2) Who Is In This Book? 3) Verses You Might Recognize 4) What’s it About? I love this introduction. It helps set the book up in my mind. The “What’s It About?” is especially helpful as it describes what the Book is about. My initial thoughts were that some of these explanations could be reworded a bit to make it easier to understand. For example in the overview for Genesis it talks about how God made a covenant with Abraham, when I was in my teens I didn’t really understand what a covenant was. In contrast, the overview for the Book of Psalms describes the different kinds of psalms you’ll find and provides examples. As the reader grows in faith and begins to understand the scriptures more and more, these overviews will take on more meaning each time they are read. Perhaps they are written as they are so that this Bible will be one that you will keep with you well beyond your teen years. There are Daily Readings tucked within the pages. Covering a wide range of topics that are relevant to today’s teens. You will find the traditional devotions about Making a difference, Power of Words and Loving Yourself, but you will also find tougher topics like Abstinence and the Occult. There is an index in the back of each reading making it easy to find what you want when you need it. These readings are easily identified by the “Growing in Faith, Hope, Love” logo on the upper right side of the page. The “NIV Bible For Teen Girls” also has character profiles of Women in the Bible. In today’s world our girls are taught that women are exactly like men, and that isn’t the case. Men and women were created differently by God on purpose. These character profiles help your teen girl discover the importance women in the Bible and realize her full potential as a woman walking with Christ. As you read through this Bible’s pages you will discover some verses that are highlighted in Pink. These are verses that your teen may want to pay special attention too and maybe even memorize. The back of this bible is a Concordance which is a special index that contains an alphabetical listing of important words in the bible. This listing will help your teen find scriptures on topics that are of interest to them. With the holiday’s coming up this would be a wonderful gift to share with any teen girl. The “NIV Bible For Teen Girls” is a great next step in your teens walk with Christ. *Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the "NIV Bible for Teen Girls" in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own.

The NIV Bible for Teen Girls is a beautiful, hard cover Bible for today's teen. One of my favorite parts is that the promises of God for His children are highlighted throughout the book. I wish I'd had that tool to encourage me when I was growing up! There is no better way to instill confidence in a growing believer. This Bible also has lots of practical advice and devotions just for teen girls. I love that each book of the Bible starts not only with key information and a summary of the book, but adds familiar verses. What better way to get a growing person to remember Scripture? I alos love that it ends with a personal invitation from God, a topical index with headings such as "Fakers," and a concordance, in addition to an index of devotions and women in the Bible. This is a wonderful gift for Christian girls and a great opportunity for teens to learn and grow into strong Christian women.

As Christians, we know that the most important book we can own is a Bible. We have our own "adult" Bibles. There are many choices of Bible storybooks for toddlers and Bibles for children. But what about teens? Children's Bibles may be dismissed as being too childish, but is there anything to help bridge the gap before young people graduate to a "regular" Bible? I'm happy to let you know that there is, and it's called the NIV Bible for Teen Girls. NIV Bible for Teen Girls: Growing in Faith, Hope, and Love is the "real" Bible, in my favorite translation, the NIV. What makes it special for teen girls? *Its sturdy hard cover is teen-friendly in appearance, with trendy colors, fonts, and artwork. Teen girls would enjoy carrying this book around. *The Bible includes daily readings by popular Christian women authors, like Bethany Hamilton (you know, the lady whose arm was bitten off by a shark), and others (I'll admit I don't recognize the other names as I browse them, but then again, my teen years are definitely in the rear view mirror). * There are features that help make the Bible more meaningful for teens: character profiles of Biblical women, introductions for each Bible book, a concordance, and highlighted promises of God.

There are a lot of things that teen girls from the ages of 13 to 18 have to deal with in their lives, beside processing through hormonal changes, peer pressure, dating and interests in boys, to handling making the transition from teen to adult as well. They harbor their own unique challenges and thus there is nothing too big that God can't help them with. That is the first place as parents, we would expect our teens would turn aside from their parents on how to deal with the challenges life brings, we want them to turn to the One who created them to be just as unique as our teen daughters are! The NIV Bible for Teen Girls: Growing in Faith, Hope and Love has been designed uniquely for teen girls 13-18 and is packed with daily readings, highlighted promises of God, challenging insights, smart advice and open discussions about the realities of life. This Bible is designed to help teen girls grow in their own spiritual walk in faith, hope and love. It is as sincere about a teen girl's walk with God as they are, helping them discover His will for all areas of their life, including relating to their family, dealing with friends, work, sports, guys, and so much more. What the NIV Bible for Teen Girls offers inside include: Daily Readings by popular Christian female authors including Bethany Hamilton (Soul Surfer), Annie Downs, Christine Caine, Nicole Wider, Else Kok Colopy, Crystal Kirgiss, Bekah Hamrick Martin, Denise Van Eck and more. Character Profiles of women in the Bible; Book Introductions for each book of the Bible; Highlighted Promises of God are verses worth remembering; a Concordance for help in finding verses and the NIV, New International Version is the best selling version of the Bible. When I presented this to my own 16-year-old daughter, she immediately LOVED the cover. It's definitely feminine without being overly childish, the colors are appealing and she loved that along with her Bible, the font size is perfect. In fact the teen Bible she had before, is now replaced by this one which is her preference. The daily readings are listed at the back of the Bible and are listed by the topic instead of the individual authors, so if your teen is struggling in a particular area in her life, she can find a resource from a strong Christian role model along with the applicable Bible verses in that section. The only thing I wish they would have included would have been the authors names along with that, so if she wanted to search for articles by Bethany Hamilton, she wouldn't have to search for it through each of the daily readings. I would have also loved for it to include Jesus' words in a different color to really set that apart from the rest of the text for importance. I received the NIV Bible for Teen Girls: Growing in Faith, Hope and Love compliments of Zondervan Publishers and Propeller for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation aside from a free copy of the Bible to review, and the opinions expressed here are strictly my own. Aside from the recommendations I have listed above, this is a great teen Bible for girls. Some of the best parts of our families devotional time is when my daughter will add something that is on the particular page of her Bible we are studying and it opens up a great discussion point for us with her like peer pressure or dealing with some things teens face but might not know how to approach them with their parents.

During the teen years there is so much growth, development and change going on in kids lives. That has never been a secret! Our young adults need to have space yet direction in developing their lives. We start off when they are young telling them that God will direct our paths. This teen girls Bible is a great fit for this time in a young woman’s life. This Bible has some great features that are perfect for any young woman. How does the Teen Bible differ from others? This Bible features: *A pretty “girly” cover *pink pages * character traits centered around women * Growing in Faith, Hope and Love devotions. *Devotion index *Topics index I think that finding the right Bible for your child will only help them on the path as they discover who they are and who they are supposed to be. We change so many things as they grow why wouldn’t you change their Bible? I think this Bible would be a great fit for any teen/young woman!

The newly published Bible for Teen Girls: Growing in Faith, Hope and Love, in the NIV translation comes packaged with an inviting mat- finish artistic retro cover. The vintage scroll work and antique styled bird cartoons will draw in a variety of readers and even young adults. This full sized study bible is perfect for pre teens and teen-aged girls. The NIV translation is a reliable and trustworthy translation in contrast to other paraphrased translations frequently used for childrens' bibles. The NIV is not difficult to comprehend for teens and young adults, in contrast to the Kings James Translation or NKJV, often used for a children's gift bible. I imagine that kids' and teens' bibles using difficult to read translations could not possibly be used as a primary bible and are used mostly just for gift giving and sitting on a book shelf or trunk of trinkets. Applicable devotions and commentaries are scattered throughout to help apply bible principals and teachings. This bible contains character profiles and book introductions as inviting chunks of information to give the reader a background on the bible. Selected scripture verses are highlighted as well almost like a highlighter. This includes key memorable verses such as Acts 16:31. The interior design with pink toned spot color and supplemental material break up the bible text making scripture more inviting and memorable. Relevant articles on technology, friendship and other teen related issues as well as matters of faith and bible concepts are covered for a well rounded mix. The concordance is extensive making this an actual study bible- not simply a devotional bible. Study bibles are more versatile and more powerful in terms of looking up specific passages and focusing on particular topics of interest. This is not a bland text only bible. I have seen many "children's" bibles that have beautiful covers but when you open them up, the interior is simply a standard black text on a white page, in a tiny font, with no embellishment- no different than a standard pew bible. If it weren't for the large "teen girls" boldly highlighted on the cover, I'd use this as my own bible. I feel the "teen girls" label on the cover is too limiting in terms of the possible readership and perhaps should be delegated to the bottom corner of this bible in a smaller script font. This is a bible that will be read- not simply to collect dust on a bookshelf. As a blogger for BookLook bloggers, I received a copy of this bible published by Zondervan for the purpose of writing this review.
