I wasn't really sure how I would like No Perfect Princess since I basically hated Margaux from the beginning of the series. She was starting to redeem herself in book 2 and I connected with her so much more in book 3. Margaux and Michael both have secrets that they don't want to share with the world much less with each other. They have major chemistry but will it be enough? I already liked Michael so was just happy to get to know him better. I love that he is close to his mom and is so protective of her. Margaux is so much deeper than I gave her credit for in the beginning. The authors did a great job of making me fall in love with this couple too. I am excited to jump into the book. If you haven't read the Secrets of Stone you should grab the first one and start reading!

I loved the first two books but I'm pretty sure this one is my fav! I loved being able to see the real Margaux in this book, and I completely fell in love with Michael. Even if you don't like Margaux, it's worth reading the book just for Michael's character. I really hope there's a next book cause these two need to get married or make babies, and someone has to kick Trey Stone and Andrea Asher's ass!!

**Book provided by the author for an honest review** Previously in the Secrets of Stone... Margaux Asher, the daughter of the PR tycoon Andrea, had a bomb dropped on her that turned her world upside down, sideways, and inside out! Slowly but surely Margaux's ice cold heart has melted and grown and allowed Margaux to have feelings for other people besides herself! She has an awesome friend in her step-sister Claire, and a growing fondness for her big brother Killian. After spending some time with Michael, a previous co-worker from the PR Firm her mother owned, the sexual tension between them becomes too great to ignore and bursts out causing a big poop storm! With Killian and Claire preparing for their wedding, Margaux begins to see how great life can be with loving partner, but the thought of opening up and letting someone in scares the crap out of her! Michael has had it bad for Margaux from day one, but feared rejection so kept his distance, until his throbbing brain couldn't take it anymore! Haha... gotcha! Perv! I loved reading about Margaux the notorious Ice Princess! I hated her so much in the first book, now I like her damn it! Hearing her inner monologues was very enlightening and humorous! It wasn't her fault she didn't know how to have a relationship with someone, her mother really messed her up! Then to get to know Michael was awesome! He was briefly mentioned in the first book, and I don't think at all in the second one, so it was nice to get to know one of the side characters and have them brought forth into the spotlight. Captain America, what a guy... He is gorgeous, muscular, sweet, and thoughtful, but had some issues of his own from his childhood, but not as severe as Margaux's. The plot was very on par with the storyline from the previous books, carrying over the drama with the Stone family, which is what I hoped for since there was still a lot that needed closure. The twist in the plot, or I should say knife, was excellent! Just the right amount of evil to add flavor, I loved it! The sexy times were aplenty in this book as well, to fulfill any naughty needs you may have ;) I can't wait to read more about Margaux and Michael, and see how things turn out for them in the final end, but this wasn't it, so be prepared. It wasn't a cliffhanger, but it's not over! Until next time, be safe, wear a condom.

3.5  Highly Angsty Stars Favorite Quotes: “The woman could flip any statement into verbal sex.” “And I thought his mouth was talented?  His fingers needed to have their own insurance policy.” "I had comeback lines for every insult people could dream up, but responding eloquently to his adoration and kindness?  I was lost worse than the Galactica.” “I really wasn’t sure I remembered who I was.  This felt like one of those loopy after death scenes in B movies, where the dearly departed floats over their body and watches life in a mix of wonder and horror.” “They did some variation on the guy greeting, bumping fists and shaking hands and slamming shoulders in a language more mysterious than dogs sniffing each other’s butts.” My Review: I am struggling to write this review and decide on a rating.  While it was billed as part of a series that could be read as a stand-alone, I believed I would not have grappled with the story as much had I read the earlier books in the series.  I almost gave up the 30% mark when I felt the story was stalled and circling tediously.  Plus, the book was 80% angst, which is admittedly, not my favorite thing, and I had a hard time caring about Margaux, she is selfish, mean, and nasty, and not someone I would want to spend time with.  I adored and had great empathy for Michael Pearson, and enjoyed the back story, plot twists, smart banter, and generous sprinklings of pop culture references, and during the occasional brief reprieves from the angst and when main characters stopped dithering, and circling each other, there was clever humor, snarky wit, and sizzling sensuality.  When the epiphany finally hit and Margaux leapt into action, it was almost worth wading through the rest of the story.  But if you relish angst, you will be in your element.

THIS STORY IS ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!! No Perfect Princess is the third book in The Secrets of Stone series. This book may be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading book 1 No Prince Charming and book 2 No More Masquerade first. This story is simply amazing! Angel Payne and Victoria Blue really blew the top off with this one! From the first chapter to the very last this book had my full attention. I laughed, I cried and there were moments when I said "Oh S***". I was emotionally exhausted by the time the heroine and hero found their never ending love for each other. This book is Marguax and Michael's story. Marguax Asher, the ice princess grew up in a life of privilege, lies and secrets. Michael Pearson grew up on an apple farm and is now a lawyer who has his own secrets from his childhood. When they become friends Michael quickly realizes he wants more and is willing to fight for her. Can she learn to open up, trust and love Michael? Will he run away after learning all her secrets or will he be the Alpha male that she desperately needs to take over her hear, mind, body and soul? This book draws you in and keeps you on edge all the way through. The collaboration of Angel Payne and Victoria Blue in this story is off the charts. It amazes me how two very talented authors can write as one and make it seem so effortless. The emotional rollercoaster in this story has made No Perfect Princess one of my all time favorite book because I think we all have a little Marguax Asher inside of us.

This book left you in a constant state of panic screaming at the characters so they would get back together. But there are many unanswered questions and book 4 is needed asap to calm us all down! Omg get this series you'll be stuck like glue to it, promise!

This is Margaux and Michael's story and is as steamy as their foreplay has been. ONE YEAR of foreplay, do you think they are ready for the next step? The plot line still keeps you riveted. Enough twists and turns are happening to keep surprising us. I felt a lot of different emotions while reading this book. A whole range of feelings from frustration to elation. Finally will Margaux lose some of her stubbornness and let Michael in? This poor man is just ready to explode. In this installment, we get to spend time with Michael's mom. She is sweetest mom ever! I want to see justice done as far as Declan is concerned! Reading the chapters he is in, I felt very irate toward him and was ready to b__ch slap him. One note as to why this is a 3 star review. Maybe it is me, but sometimes the author just goes overboard with the cliches and cute-sy stuff. It can actually go on for pages... I am sorry, but that just gets on my nerves. I am not trying to be nasty but I have to mention this because it detracted so much from the enjoyment of this book. If Michael and Margaux are making love and in the middle of all their passion, I really do not want the cliches and cute-sy stuff stopping the flow of that scene and altering the passionate rhythm of the scene. This happens throughout the book and is the only deterrent. One good think, you can skip those sections and just look for the next time they talk to each other so you can still enjoy the story. My opinion, you judge for yourselves.

Michael Adam Pearson was a glutton for punishment.  This man has more patience than a saint!  I think the more than fickle Margaux Asher put that theory to the test throughout this entire book.  Michael was all in for a relationship with Margaux but he was constantly walking on egg shells with her.  She is so skittish when it comes to any "real" kind of feelings, that he was always afraid of saying the wrong thing to make her run, which she did often.  Their constant banter and name calling is hilarious!  Inside this book is a woman terrified of being hurt and left and a man terrified of never getting to be with the woman he really wants.  It's full of tragedy, treachery, love, friendship and a boat load of self-discovery.   She has a fabulous relationship with Claire and Killian.  She also has a strange but good, relationship with her chauffeur, Andre.  He's very protective of her. WOW!  What an incredible journey this has been with Margaux and Michael.  Being Margaux must be exhausting!  I often wanted to grab her, bear hug her and not let her push me away.  She has grown so much over the series.  I would be honored to have a friend like her.  There was one thing I wanted more of in this book and that was Michael's story.  *hint hint authors*  Great book and series!  I can't wait to see what these amazing authors come up with next.  * free copy gifted for an honest review ** originally reviewed for welovekink(dot)com

No Perfect Princess by Angel Payne and Victoria Blue is the third in The Secrets of Stone series and is, in my opinion, the best book yet! Margaux Asher has a life-altering secret revealed to her at the end of the second book in the series which paves the way for the plot line of this story.  Michael and Margaux are complex, intriguing, passionate characters who pulled me into their world and wouldn't let me leave until I finished reading their story.  I went from hating Margaux in the first and second books to loving her by the end of No Perfect Princess.  While Michael was a minor character earlier in the series, here he is brought to life in amazing depth and detail. I was at times both in love with him and furious at him, but still rooting for him to fix it all in the end.  The story also follows up beautifully with Killian and Claire, the main characters from the first two books.  It took me just over a day to read the whole story because I simply couldn't put the book down until I finished! At the end, I was extremely satisfied with the story and supremely disappointed that I have to wait for the next book in the series!  In the meantime, I'm going to go back to the beginning and read all three books again because they're just that good!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. After finishing reading No Perfect Princess by Angel Payne and Victoria Blue, I am totally and completely emotionally exhausted from the amazing journey I was taken on. I started off yelling at the main characters because of their blindness, and let’s face it, stupidity. Next up was crying as they both dealt with a lot of emotional baggage. Then I was screaming with happiness as they finally figured things out until I ended up back at crying as these two people finally reached their well-deserved happy ending. I couldn’t ask for more from an author, or pair of authors, and I will be thinking about Margaux and Michael long after I put down their story. No Perfect Princess is the third story in the Secrets of Stone series but this time we focused on Margaux and Michael. For me, these two were interesting choices for a heroine and hero. First of all, if you have read the first two books in the series, then you know that Margaux is not the nicest person and at first glance there is nothing about her that would solicit sympathy and understanding. Michael was briefly mentioned but never stood out. Yet Ms. Payne and Ms. Blue must have felt that this two characters had a deeper side that would make them intriguing because here they are starring in their own novel. Well, I should have learned long ago to never doubt Ms. Payne’s muse and I am quickly learning that Ms. Blue is also a force to be reckoned with because they were absolutely correct! What makes me so impressed with this writing duo is that they took this seemingly ice cold princess and showed the reader her softer, human side without really changing who she is on the inside. As we got more glimpses into Margaux’s background, her need to protect herself with a snarky attitude begins to make sense. As she learned to let Michael into her heart and soul, she still maintained that sarcasm that made me laugh. I also loved that Michael didn’t want to change her. In fact, he loved her attitude and the foibles that another man might have been annoyed by. He also had his own demons to work through and Margaux proved to be the perfect person to inspire him. I am always impressed when a team of writers gets together and produces a seamless story as if written by one author. Ms. Payne and Ms. Blue must have worked with one mind on this story because I could not point out who wrote what. The dialogue, the actions, the emotions were so real that it was easy to forget that I was reading about fictional characters. There were plenty of twists and turns in the story to keep me glued to my e-reader and there were definitely those “Oh, no they didn’t” moments that made me scream. While you could read No Perfect Princess as a standalone, I really recommend reading the whole series to really delve into Margaux’s character as well as understand some important plot points. Now that I have been pulled into this world, there are so many more characters that I hope to see in future Secrets of Stone books. And based on the ending, it looks like more will definitely be coming.

Love this story and love the characters of Micael and Margaux. Brilliant continuation of the series and there is one surprise after another in this book. I found myself laughing out loud one minute, in tears the next, then getting pissed beyond belief all to end  up completely content by the final page. Speaking of which this story isn't finished and aren't we lucky. Still storylines to be completed and at the same time other storylines are moving forward. Love, love , love this book.
