This is not a cliffhanger. I truly enjoyed the story of the ex-hockey player and a bartending song writer. The story was well written and I enjoyed the storyline. What do you do when you're a nice guy? You take calls from ex-girlfriends and you rescue a friend from ex-boyfriends. What do you do when you are afraid to love passionately because passion gave her mother four children under the age of seven when their father abandoned them? You hide your feelings and do not let passion rule your heart. I am sure that if you select this story you will enjoy the romance where Mr. Grumpy Pants and Ms. Bartendress find their space in the love train.

Throughly enjoyed this story by Zoe York. This book was well written, with a compelling story and an honest look at the life of a renowned sports figure and a fledgling song writer. Linda-Rose

Chase made it worth reading. Lots of typos. A good plot just not up to Ms York's standard. CB

Good read - profanity kept the rating lower - not just F words but continually using the Lord's name too. Just using the F word would have been a 4-star. Two people who have known each other a long time -- she was his little sister's friend; he was an injured pro-athlete forced to retire. She had an ex-boyfriend who wouldn't take no for an answer and he just happened to be the one person who could make him understand the word no. He needed someone he could trust and who would accompany him on a business trip. Together they agreed to a fake relationship. Only toward the end did the author begin giving sexual, descriptive scenes. Rated >R.

This is a fabulous story about a hockey player that was injured in a car accident and can no longer play the game. Chase Miller is suffering from depression because his life is no longer on the path he started on. He's seen Mari Beadie almost every day for year, to have a beer and lunch at the bar she works at. The moment he saves her from her ex by pretending to be her current boyfriend and kisses her, is the moment that starts the undeniable attraction between them. She's an aspiring song writer and he's a famous ex-hockey player, what could they possibly have in common? Chase is always unsure when it comes to Mari. Is he doing the right thing? Is he saying the right thing? Mari is never quite sure if she's enough for the ex-hockey star. They have much to learn about each other. The relationship doesn't feel rushed and progresses smoothly, with the exception of a few bumps in the road. This is a well-written sweet romance and the cover is EXACTLY as I pictured Chase and Mari to look like. Great job Zoe York! I'm super excited to read more of The Wardham series.

I already loved this series from the previous books, but add in some hockey and I'm done for! Love Chase and Mari's relationship - especially how it develops. The whole story just hit the right cord with me and I loved it. This is a must read just like every other in this series!

My Thoughts: Adorable, adorable, adorable! Okay, there's more to it than that, but if someone would ask me to give my review in one word, it's definitely ADORABLE. Mari and Chase just so happen to share a kiss to ward off an ex. It's the beginning of a charade that neither of them stop as they fake date. Their pseudo-relationship continues on...and on... And they can't stop kissing. You know how I love the kisses, right? This one is FULL of ALL THE KISSES and I loved it. LOVED IT. Not only that, but watching them discover how much more they have together was beautiful. Their journey is remarkable and you won't be able to stop until you reach the end. No Time Like Forever is a lovely little novel that I could read again. Mari and Chase have great chemistry AND so much more. Zoe York is one of those authors you must keep going back to. The stories have a lot of depth and they captivate you in every way possible. My Rating: Exceptional

Chase is laying low after a career ending car accident, so he has come home to recuperate and decide what to do with the rest of his life. All he has ever known is hockey and now that he will never play professionally again he is struggling emotionally. Even though he is doing physical therapy on his leg and talking to a therapist that is helping him deal with his depression – he spends most his days sitting on a bar-stool at the local bar where Mari works . All he does is sit, drink beer, and take phone calls from his girlfriend – which Mari makes him take outside. Mari has to spend day-after-day dealing with Chase at the bar where she bartends and she has given him the name of Mr. Grumpy Pants. Mari is dealing with a jerk of an ex-boyfriend, but he keeps pushing to get back together with her, until finally one day she blurts out that she is seeing someone and Chase just happens to come to her rescue AND kisses her. She knows that she shouldn’t feel anything when it comes to the kiss, and knows that Chase was just doing it to help her out, BUT she can’t get the kiss off of her mind. Zoe York had done it again and this may be my favorite book in the series and I encourage everyone to read this story. **ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest review**

ARC for my review - SOOOO worth it! I have become a huge Zoe York fan and this book did not disappoint. Mari and Chase make a great couple and just seemed so "innocent" somehow. Now, Zoe's books are far from innocent, but that was the feeling I got from these characters. One of the things I like best about Zoe's books is the lack of contrived conflict. No one is hiding some BIG secret that is going to bite them on the ass when the other finds out. She writes about regular people with regular challenges. I highly recommend this book.

ARC provided by ZoYo Press via Netgalley for an honest review! First, I have to apologize for my tardy review. I read this novel over a month ago and as per my usual life, my review never made it online. Until now. You cannot go wrong with a Zoe York book! I absolutely LOVE her Wardham series. I finished this book in one sitting, probably couldn't have put it down if I wanted to. I definitely recommend reading not only the book, but the series as well! This is the story of Chase and Mari. Chase has returned home after a car accident forced his retirement from the NHL. He was struggling with depression after not being able to play the game he loves so he turns to alcohol to drown his sorrows at the only bar in town, where Mari works as a bartender. She asks him for a favor (read the book for details) and he asks for one in return (again, you gotta read the book lol) .... cue relationship :) Zoe York does an exceptional job of character development, especially with Chase. She has such a way with words, that I felt like I was living his transformation from boo-hoo me to 'light bulb moment' .... Mari is everything he needs and goes after her with the same drive he went after the NHL! This was story was full of warmth, steamy love scenes and a couple deserving of a happy ending. FIVE 'GO BIG OR GO HOME' Stars for this heart-warming, exceptional story! I can't wait to read what is next for Wardham!

This book is my favorite of the Wardham series so far. I really liked both of these characters separately and and together (especially Chase :).  I liked that they "got" each other and there was not too much drama. What Chase was going through ending his career and Mari just starting her made it more real. They were a very sweet couple as was some of their dialog. Chase was able to vulnerable and Mari was able to be prickly and they still were able to have their HEA. I also liked that Mari was not over the top or too indecisive as some females leads can be.  I will definitely finish the series. I am curious to see how things play with Evan based on hints from other books in this series.  Netgalley ARC

Continuing her sweet and sexy Wardham series this is the story of Chase and Mari. Chase is recovering from a car accident that has all but ended his hockey career. He's moved back home to Wardham for his physical therapy and to evaluate what to do now with his life, spending many hours at a local restaurant where Mari, a friend of his sisters is a waitress. In a pinch he helps her out with an amorous ex-boyfriend and wants her help in return to pretend to be his girlfriend, partly to get his family off his back and to provide him with a social companion for a charity appearance he had committed to as a hockey player. It seems like a great arrangement - friends with some extra benefits, only when real feelings start to intrude will they be willing to admit them to each other? I loved this story! Wardham really comes alive in these tales and this story is no exception, showcasing families and friends and a small town atmosphere with all its pros and cons. Everybody know everybody, or so it seems, and it's hard to keep secrets. Mari knows that Chase has been depressed about his lack of progress in his therapy and the realities that he probably won't be able to return to professional hockey. He needs a friend, not another person at his pity party and she is willing to provide that for him, having nursed a secret crush on him that she plans to keep well hidden. Mari is sweet and tough at the same time. She says what's on her mind and she makes no bones about keeping her heart at a distance. Chase is equally engaging as a handsome, determined man, struggling emotionally and physically with the end of his hockey career. He likes that Mari treats him normally and not with stars in her eyes. Having her pretend to be his girlfriend gives him a perfect excuse to have her around and as they play their roles, it's soon hard for them to keep their hands to themselves. There is a definite physical attraction between them and I loved how the scenes built up slowly with sexual tension, keeping the reader (and the characters) on edge as they explored their attraction to each other. But beyond the sexual relationship, the development of the romantic feelings between them is sweet and wonderful. This story stands well on its own, giving glimpses of the other characters who have made Wardham home. They add humor and tension to the situations the couple encounter and make for a well rounded story. This was an entertaining read, full of warmth, steamy love scenes and a couple deserving of a happy ending. 5 fabulous stars!
