Not Forgotten chronicles the beginning of a small African American community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast between 1900 and 1960. It tells how and why it was formed and introduces some of the people who lived there. It provides an overview of the timber industry that expanded population growth and provided stable employment for many of the people who had nothing else.
