Ms. Rushdan was a new to me author when I read the first book in this series. I really enjoyed it and was looking forward to the next release. I was not disappointed. This book picked up right where the last one ended and kept you turning the page to find out who the mole was and if the they would be caught. Lots of suspense and action.

That fresh, new-book smell coming from the shelf wafts of diversity, and there hasn't been a debuting (or established) contemporary romance author I've read yet this year that delivers books with this sweet aroma as well as Juno Rushdan. Today I'm reviewing Nothing to Fear, the second book in the Final Hour series, following Every Last Breath, which I had the privilege of reading and reviewing a few months ago. Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casa for again allowing me to read this advanced copy of what had promised to be and has now solidified itself as my favorite contemporary romantic suspense series of the year. This is, in my opinion, character development at its finest. No glass ceiling is left intact, no demographic left behind, and the emotional firestorm that rages from both protagonist and antagonist leaves nothing to be desired. Juno Rushdan delivers likable, relatable characters who are forces to be reckoned with—no small feat when you consider how unrelatable these characters might be considered to those of us who are not employed by covert branches of the CIA. Steel-toed boots, I wear not. In this second book of the series, which could be read as a stand-alone (but is enhanced by the first book), the Gray Box stands as a black-site covert subsection of the CIA, where the killer elite work to fight against threats foreign and domestic. Led by Director Bruce Sanborn, the Gray Box is threatened by a mole inside their ranks. All the evidence points to cryptologist, programmer, hacker, and analyst Willow Harper. Gideon "Reaper" Stone is a member of one of the Gray Box's elite teams, and he's not buying the evidence stacked against Willow. When push comes to shove and it becomes clear that Director Sanborn is being pressured to catch the mole sooner rather than later, Gideon decides to do whatever it takes to pull Willow out of the fire, prove her innocence, and find the real traitor. Only he could never imagine the political nightmare he's stepping into that could end all of their careers. The fight for Willow's reputation becomes a fight for both of their lives as they are tracked down by not only the entity framing Willow, but by their own team. Gideon's soft spot for Willow only increases, but he can't allow the man he is—a killer, an assassin—to ruin Willow's chances for a happy future for herself, no matter how badly he wants her. Willow is highly intelligent, awkward, straightforward, and honest, and as she uncovers who Gideon really is, she learns more about her own strength and place in this world of espionage and digital ones and zeros, and she's in no mood to be told who is and who isn't good enough for her—even by the man she's come to realize is her everything. They both just need to stay alive long enough for her to convince him of the truth. I absolutely loved this book. While I hold a special place in my heart for Maddox and Cole in Book One, this sequel did not disappoint. The characters deal with very real issues, both internal and external, and follow Rushdan's arc of badass characters. There were times I thought the similes and puns were a bit overdone, but it's a style and flare I admire from an author I know has extensive military history. As a military wife, I know for a fact that, yes, they do talk and think like this, and, yes, it is sometimes a bit much. Overall, this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ novel was thrilling, sexy, and beguiling.

4/5 stars *Thank you so much to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for allowing me the opportunity to read this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. After reading this fast paced romantic thriller, I believe it's my favorite series in the genre! There's just enough balance between action, suspense and romance to keep you reading in one sitting until the very end. Synopsis The sequel picks up where the first story left off with the mole embedded in Gray Box killing off the captured assassin before he can spill his secrets. The team at Gray Box is naturally suspicious when he winds up dead and Gideon is assigned to watch Willow, Gray Box's programmer. Gideon comes to believe Willow is being set up and the true mole is attempting to kill her off which puts them on the run from the mole, the organization the mole works for and Gideon's own people at Gray Box. Pacing & Points of View The overall pacing was fairly quick and I was able to read this story in one sitting. There were multiple points of view within this sequel including Gideon, Willow, the mole, Daedalus, and a few other characters. It was nice seeing other perspectives than the two main characters, Gideon and Willow, especially the villain's point of view. However, it did seem like too many perspectives to keep track of at certain times which took away from the main romantic story. Characters I really liked the diversity Willow's character and medical condition, Asperger syndrome, added to the series. It was done really well and balanced out the new alpha man Gideon perfectly. Willow was sweet, but blunt in her manner with people and situations. It often made her say what she was thinking which made everyone around her especially Gideon keep on their toes. I loved how this made her an odd, endearing and refreshing character that felt completely different than any other character I have read before. Gideon was another fun alpha male character in this series and I'm glad he got his own story. He's a dangerous operative with a soft heart and slightly tragic backstory which makes you love him even more. Gideon and Willow were so entertaining to read running from one disaster to the next and forming a bond during it all. The author did a good job of balancing the action and thrilling parts with romance! I really liked both of the main characters, but I honestly wasn't feeling the chemistry throughout the entire book. It may have been a feeling of being pulled in too many directions by multiple point of views and not having enough time to dive deeper into the romantic relationship of these two characters. With this being said, there was chemistry and I did enjoy reading this installment in the series. It just felt a little less intense in the romance than the previous story. I did enjoy reading more about the villain's in this story including Gray Box's mole, their boss, and several other side villains, however some of it could have been cut out to keep the focus on the two main characters. Overall Overall, I really liked this action-packed sequel and I cannot wait to see what happens next! I absolutely recommend to anyone who loves romance with a lot of action, suspense and thrills. I'll definitely be picking up the third book in the series, because I can only see the series getting better as it builds on the previous book's foundations.

Holy Hot Sizzling Bacon Batman!!! This book is on fire!!!  5 RED HOT STARS!!!!!! If Goodreads would allow me to award more stars, this would be the book to get them. Ok, Juno Rushdan, you have made me a believer!! I wasn't quite sure how I would like the romantic thriller genre. But after seeing many rave reviews on your first book in this series, Every Last Breathe, I decided to give it a chance. And you did not let me down. I loved it. I was so hungry for more when the book ended. It literally left me breathless and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Nothing to Fear. And again, you have knocked it so far out of the park we need NASA to locate this ball. You've opened me up to a whole new genre I didn't know existed or that I would like, but you also made me a believer in your writing chops. You can seriously write a book I want to read.  Both of the books in this series can be read as stand alone books, but I highly recommend you read this as a series. Each book is building on the previous storyline and I am so excited to see where she takes us next.  Just like in the first book, you become so invested and attached to the characters and their individual stories. You will fall in love with them, cheer them on, and hide behind your hands scared to see if they make it out alive. This author truly knows how to develop characters. Yes there is steamy hot romance in this book, but there is also a crazy hold on to the edge of your seat thrill ride you will take. In this book, we are trying to find the mole in the Gray Box special ops unit. It's insane! And it's wicked good! It's fresh, it's different, it's intense, it will get your heart racing in more ways than one. This book is a fast read. You will not want to put it down. And just like the first book, I am hungry for more!!  Trust me, you have Nothing to Fear, you will love this book!! Pick it up!!! And keep your eyes on Juno Rushdan. This is an author going places. I can't wait to get my hands on her next book!! My thanks to Juno Rushdan, Sourcebooks Casablanca Publishing and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 in a great series. Suspense, romance, mystery, intrigue. This book is with Gideon (super spy) and Willow ( super analyst) with ADS. Right in the beginning, bam - something happens. And we are off. This is pretty much non stop action, some romance. Some hot sex. We learn a little more about the traitor,we see the political aspects in, just like in any job, and we have our HEA. Hints about about possible hook ups and I am excited to see them. I was so floored when the inside mole was known. Well done. Thank you for the arc! All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Aaaagggghhhh!! It’s finally here!! Book 2 in the Final Hour series. Can I just say, I am loving this author. I’m 2 books in and hungry for more. Nothing to Fear picks up where Every Last Breath left off. Someone on the inside of Gray Box is a traitor. I was not ready for this book. At times I didn’t even feel like I was reading. I felt like I was watching a movie or an episode of Jack Ryan (my current fave). I fell in love with Willow. Her absolute honesty about everything was so refreshing and well… honest. Insta girl crush. Gideon? What can I say? He’s a man’s man and takes no prisoners. He is one of Gray Box’s best interrogators, which sometimes means, torturer. He doesn’t believe he deserves love. His wife died there were things he found out about their relationship after her death that greatly affected him. He’s had to hide his true self from everyone and doesn’t know how to handle Willow’s frank openness. What he doesn’t understand is that he doesn’t have to keep her safe from him. She understands him better than maybe he understands himself. I absolutely loved this book and look forward to more books in this series. ARC received from NetGalley for an honest review.

This book is a real thrill ride! I enjoyed the first book in this series by Juno Rushdan....Every Last Breath....but I LOVED this book. Nothing To Fear starts with a bang an doesn't let up! Its non stop from beginning to end! The Grey Box operatives are looking for a traitor in their organization. Willow is a computer analyst and is being set up to take the fall. Gideon has been in black ops for many years and is attracted to her. He can't stand the idea that she may be in danger and sets out to protect her. He told himself to keep it professional, that because of what he does he wasn't good for her. But she gets past his shell and their attraction takes off. I really liked Gideon....he's a classic hero but he understands Willow and loves and accepts her quirks.. Willow is on the Autism spectrum. She's brilliant but socially awkward. She doesn't have a filter and pretty much says whatever she thinks, her openness is just what Gideon needs. I love that Juno has written a heroine that's not perfect, who has to deal with all the various eccentricities and issues that can go along with autism/Asbergers....all the while being thrown into the fight of her life....for her life!! In this book we are learn more about the dynamics of the Grey Box operatives and their personalities. They are all well thought out 3 dimensional characters. I'm looking forward to more in this series.. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley. This is the second book in Juno Rushdan's Final Hour series. It picks up shortly after the previous book, Every Last Breath. This story centers around a different couple so it is not completely necessary to read the first book (though I highly recommend it!). Nothing to Fear is the story of Gideon and Willow (who we meet in the first book). Long story short: she's framed, he is a badass, they both have some issues to overcome, multiple fights with bad guys, they save each other, and they get an HEA. There's lots of action scenes which I appreciate. I enjoyed Gideon and Willow's dynamic (though his personality was a little a cliche for the genre). Willow has ASD, which is not the first time I've read about a character with it. However, this was the first one I've read that kept her symptoms going throughout the story. She didn't automatically "change or fix herself" to not have symptoms once she got the guy. Ready for the next one!

The deeply embedded mole is causing havoc… This is the second book in the Final Hour series that can be read as a standalone. There’s a mole inside Gray Box, a covert organization, and the operative Gideon Stone has accepted the unpleasant task of investigating one of their own, a woman he believes innocent, a woman he’s often noticed yet kept his distance from. Before he’s made any headway damning evidence surfaces and he knows she’s being framed. His next move could cost him more than his reputation but the last person placed in the interrogation room was silenced before information was obtained, killed while on the premises and he’s not letting that happen again. With not much time before a lockdown would be instigated, using all his skills and knowledge of Gray Box security the two go on the run. Because of her job for Gray Box, that of cryptologist, programmer, hacker, Willow Harper is aware of the existence of the mole and has been writing a software program to track the person down. She’s shocked when she learns that she’s accused of being the traitor, her only recourse is to trust the capable Gideon, a man she’s noticed but never expected the feeling might possibly be mutual. Together they follow the money trail in the hopes of exonerating her and bringing the true culprit to justice. Willow is a loner by nature, a highly intelligent woman suffering from Asperger’s, a form of autism, which affects her social skills. Escaping Gray Box headquarters and placing all her trust in one person was stretching her boundaries but for all her issues the woman had inner courage and adapted with the unwavering support of Gideon, a man who doesn't believe he’s worthy of such a woman because of the dark deeds he has committed, though they were done for the greater good of humanity. The conspiracy runs deep. The duplicitous mole trusted by everyone within Gray Box is working for an information broker whose tendrils reach into the many government clandestine organizations. Every move the Gray Box teams make is liable to turn on them hence why Gideon and Willow ran. Those not on the premises when the person interrogated was killed are keeping to themselves and giving Gideon and Willow the benefit of the doubt. But how long can that last if they remain on the run? This was a fast-paced, action and suspense thriller with an intriguing complex plot, twists and turns to keep the reader guessing, multiple points of view and characters with depth. The main leads made an unexpected emotional connection while running for their lives. Each had personal issues to overcome, Gideon especially was defined by a past he had to make peace with. I did like the first book in the series better but this was a most enjoyable read, a good follow-up. An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

4.5 Stars Nothing to Fear, from Juno Rushdan, is beautifully balanced romantic suspense filled with well-written action scenes and a sweet romance. I loved Gideon and Willow and could have read about them for days. Book 2 in Rushdan’s Final Hour series, Nothing to Fear picks up shortly after Every Last Breath (book 1) ends. While this can technically be a standalone with a new romantic couple, there are plot points that begin in ELB that are part of an overall story arc for the series. Gideon is called the Reaper and for good reason. Physically he is ghost-like with pale blond hair and pale blue eyes. He’s been an assassin for the CIA and now for Gray Box, the fictional black ops group that is the setting for the series. The presence of a mole is revealed in ELB and as Nothing to Fear opens clues are pointing to Willow Harper, Gray Box’s computer expert, as the traitor. Gideon has always been soft on Willow and takes it upon himself to watch over her and prove she’s innocent. I loved Willow from the beginning. Willow is a great character that just happens to have Asperger’s. I loved how Rushdan wrote her, weaving Willow’s Asperger’s characteristics flawlessly into the narrative, giving readers a heroine who isn’t defined by her condition. She’s always been attracted to Gideon, but never felt like she was his type. Together, Willow and Gideon make perfect sense. There’s a mutual respect between them that’s a perfect foundation for their romance. They have fantastic chemistry and Willow’s softness helps break through the tough exterior that Gideon puts up. I think there’s a real talent to intertwining romance and suspense into a novel and managing to hold onto readers. Getting the action scenes right is tricky; writing them into a romance with multiple secondary characters and all sorts of things going on requires a certain balance and Rushdan executes it perfectly. Nothing to Fear played out in my mind like a movie with easy to see settings, the romance building at the right pace with a burn that left me quickly turning pages, and suspense that literally had me gasping out loud. More so, Rushdan left just enough clues to have me working out the mystery but not enough to make it obvious. I definitely recommend this book and series! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for honest feedback.

Nothing To Fear is another excellent read by Juno Rushdan. Willow, the female lead, is being framed by someone within her own ranks. Gideon, the male lead, is investigating, but he knows she is innocent. The interesting thing about Willow is her diagnosis as a high functioning autistic person. I always like to see something that society labels as a disability being shown as the opposite of that. No one fits in a box with a label, and people are equal. Willow is intelligent and intuitive with just enough sass. Gideon doesn't feel worthy of her, and it's sad. It's not a romantic story, though. This is a suspenseful thrilling story that I enjoyed. I look forward to more by this author. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Right now, Gray Box, a classified secret agency, has one urgent and important mission to accomplish – that is to find out the “mole” who has murdered Aleksander Novak, the one person who can identify the traitor! Hardcore Gideon Stone is ordered to investigate the true identity of Willow Harper who is a sharp cryptologist, a skilled hacker, and has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Willow is in dire danger. First, her car has been sabotaged and almost gets herself killed. Next, her house is burned down and put her dad in coma.. Then, there is one-million-dollar being deposited into an offshore bank, under her name, at Grand Cayman. Someone is watching her and wants her dead! Gideon knows deep down inside Willow is innocent, and he decides to keep her safe and to clear her name by all means. “Nothing To Fear” by Juno Rushdan, book two of the Final Hour series, is loaded with suspense and action, never a dull moment! It is as intense as, if not more than book one “Every Last Breath”! Juno Rushdan is a talented author, who would take you on a thrilling ride of gripping adventure and extreme danger . Thank you to Juno for giving me the opportunity to enjoy this exciting thriller. I am looking forward to reading her future novels.
