I wish I had read the first issue of Oddly Normal because it took awhile before I realized what was going on. One chapter in and I understood most of the story. This looks like it will be a great series for middle grade students. The graphics are amazing. In this story, Oddly's aunt shows her her mother's possessions and they share a memory. Oddly's mother is living in the real world with her father and she is living in Fignation. We meet some of her classmates and some experiments that one of her classmate's father and mother had been working on. She starts middle school and new adventures. The book is a quick read, sure to catch the attention of middle graders, especially reluctant readers. I received a copy of this book from netgally in exchange for an honest review.
