About the Author

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released more than 30 books and has been featured on both the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists on multiple occasions.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

Sawyer likes her Bloody Mary's strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active toddler, as well as full-time servant to two adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or a combination of the two.

As most of you know I took a sho—long break from reading, and I am finally back up and running. Off Sides is the first book I picked up since coming back around. I have to say that Sawyer Bennett kept me reading more with this first book to the “Off” Series. Danny (Danielle) is a waitress, volunteer, and a college student all rolled into one amazing person. The main male model in the book is Ryan, a captain Hockey player, and has more money than he knows what to do with. This book hit me square in reality, and for that I need to invest in the other books to get to grow more with the characters. I loved the way the characters built during the process of reading this book, but it definitely leaves you wanting to know more about Ryan and Danny. Thank you so much for showing me another book, and into another escape.

A not so typical rich boy, poor girl love story! This story was so much better than the synopsis led me to believe it would be. Early on I was charmed by Ryan’s sense of humor as he sat in the diner with his buddies thinking about his relationship with his old girlfriend, Angeline. I loved Danny’s quick wit as she put Angeline in her place at the diner as well. Danny made an impression on Ryan, too. So much so that he returns there later on. His opening salvo during their first official meeting was great. “Shredded anyone with philosophy lately?” I actually burst out laughing and start shaking my head. “Nope. Not today at least.” “Well, I was running by and saw you standing in here. Thought I would stop in and thank you.” My eyebrows rise. “Thank me?” “Yup. Those twenty seconds where you were thrashing Angeline with your knowledge of philosophy was the most fun I’ve had in a long, long time.” Despite being from different worlds, Ryan convinces Danny to go out with him, and for a while things are really good between them. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship a lot. Ryan takes things a bit more slowly with Danny than he had in the past with other GFs.  ‘Last night was amazing. It was one of the best sexual experiences of my life and I didn’t even get off. Watching Danny though – watching her break apart under my hands – was an incredible rush and I know beyond a doubt that when we actually have sex, it will probably shatter me.’ Ryan And I loved how Danny opened up Ryan’s world by taking him on a date to work at the Helping Hands Ministry where she volunteered a few times a week. ‘I’m finding myself respecting a girl for something I’ve never really experienced before in the opposite sex. Dedication. This is a crappy job and she actually volunteers to do it. It kind of humbles me.’ Ryan They start officially dating and learn about the differences in their family backgrounds. Ryan is also very determined to be a professional NHL player. So he briefly doubts if he can handle his role as the team captain of his college hockey team and the challenges that would inevitably come along with having a relationship with someone as completely different as Danny. Thankfully, he convinces Danny to give him another chance, and at one point even sweetly buys her a violin in order to hear her play again. However, friends and family members aren’t very supportive of their relationship. Consequently, his mom and his ex-girlfriend, Angeline scheme to remove Danny from his life. Ryan also finds himself in spot of legal trouble because of a shocking incident involving Danny. Fortunately, the obstacles in their relationship are removed without too much prolonged drama, and their story concludes with a pretty cool grand gesture by Ryan. I’m looking forward to reading Off Limits (released April 2013) about Ryan’s younger sister, Emily.

I enjoy this author. But I could not get into this book. The pacing seemed off and overly cliched. The plot was predictable and flat. I feel like I only finished it because it was such a short read but it wasn't the gripping story I was hoping for. I did feel like the character developing of the two lead characters was good enough to leave 2 stars but that was about it for me. Really good for a free book but if I had paid anything for it I would have wanted my money back. (And I hate to say that because I have read a lot by Sawyer Bennett and this is the first thing I haven't liked.... Just not for me)

This book was fantastic! I have no idea why I kept putting off reading this book, but I wish I could go back and read it the day I bought it. I read this book in one sitting it was that good. The story of Danny and Ryan had so much potential and you could tell that the romance was going to blossom quickly the way it was written. I loved the characters, but their relationship seemed a little rushed. One of my favorite parts was when he laid his heart and thoughts on the line days after their first date. I was so moved. Ryan has a natural knack for making Danny feel cherished and adored. Every man should treat a woman that way. I look forward to reading further into the series.

All 338 pages of this book were written for a thirteenyear old. The storyline was elementary, predictable, and oh so cliche. I just kept reading to see if there would be any original twist to it. There was none. No creativity whatsoever. It was like watching a really bad movie just to see how it will end. I wouldnt recommend this book even if it was free. You are better off playing a game of solitaire.

I loved this story! Stand alone book but, part of a series I definitely recommend. I've read all of them and look forward to anything else Sawyer Bennett may write. S.A.K.

From the beginning I fell in love with Ryan and it was refreshing to read about a "have" who could relate to the "have nots"... This was a real life story and one that I could not predict the ending... Ms. Bennett is a talented author in her creation of her characters and in the development of a story... Finished this book in two days and I am now reading the second book "Off The Record" which continues some of the characters... The ice hockey theme should not scare readers who do not enjoy sports away because it is very incidental to the story... Wonderful story, well written...

Loved it. Typical boy and girl from different backgrounds, one rich, Ryan the other poor, Daniella "Danny". Ryan falls for Danny the same night his ex tries to bring Danny down a peg by shaming her as a waitress, but Danny is no dummy and one ups Angelina. Story is told in a way that you root for the two as Ryan's mother tries to break them up and threaten Danny, but Ryan knows how his family operates and gets his girl back. Really enjoyed this book as both characters were easy to like.

Quick, sweet romance. I love that the two lovers had no big, stupid issues they couldn't work out or even come up with to fight about. Bennett writes books that are hard to put down.

I HAVE STRUCK IT RICH. With her Off Series I have read every one of the books and again I have become addicted to each and every one. All of the Characters, in her book have the most beautiful love stories. I love the men in her stories, they are strong but they are also soft when it come to the needs of the women they love. Reading Sawyer's books she allow you to fall in with strong handsome and electrifying men. And let's not forget about the strong and independent women she has created. Who knows what they want and allows the men to love them. Again Gold Mind; her book make for a feel good read.
