About the Author

Eloise Corvo grew up in the suburbs of metro Detroit, eagerly awaiting trips to her family's "Up North" cabin near Traverse City, Michigan. It was there, on the shores of the countless lakes and dense forests, that she discovered her deep love for the natural world and nurtured a curiosity that still drives her today. This passion led her to Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a focus on Marine Biology. While at MSU, she founded the MSU SCUBA Club (which immediately died after she graduated) and nearly adopted a baby turtle from an eccentric herpetology professor. She later completed a Master's degree in Marine Biology. Corvo now works as an environmental policy analyst by day and writes by night. She specializes in state and federal environmental law, helping to protect the landscapes she fell in love with as a child exploring Northern Michigan. Her heart remains in Traverse City, where she now lives full-time. To learn more about Eloise and her other publications, visit EloiseCorvo.com.
