Overview

When hockey phenom Billie-Jo Barker returns home and decides to play in the local Friday night hockey league, all hell breaks loose. Not because Billie’s talent is in question, but because Billie is a woman. And though these are modern times, some of the local guys still have a problem letting a girl into their ‘men’s club.’

Soon, Billie is at the center of a small town battle of the sexes, with everyone choosing sides. Her sisters. The townsfolk. Her friends. And yet, the only person whose opinion she cares about doesn’t seem to care that much at all. Logan Forest, the man who broke her heart when she was eighteen and the man she shares the bench with every Friday night.

She’s got a lot to prove and though Billie-Jo Barker scores on the ice, will this girl ever score with the man of her dreams?

Loved, loved, and again loved the start of this wonderful series. Not to mention both book one and two where both over 400 pages long. Finally an author that gives me something awesome to read and doesn't rush the story line. Not only did I laugh my behind off at Billi-jo with her quick wit, but was able to relate to the sibbling button pushing scenes...baha, I can totally relate. Must Read People!

Brand new author to me. You can never be sure what you are getting with them. Big score with this one! What a terrific story. Billie and Logan....She is one in a set of triplet sisters. The three of them are as different as can be. Billie, the tough as nails hockey player. I love tough women. Especially tough women that don't forget they are women. Logan, the tough guy that was in no position to handle such a woman. But he learned. She taught him. And she learned some herself. Really good reading, don't think you have it figured until the end. :-) I cant wait for the next one.

Offside is a great book. As a girl growing up loving hockey and playing on a boys team, because there wasn't one for girls, I could relate with Billie. I laughed at many of the antics that brought back my own memories. Thank you for sharing this story, I enjoyed reading it.

I am tired of men who think because they have a Y chromozone that they are better than a woman. Men who think that they are allowed to make their own rules because they can pee standing up. This is a story of a woman who just wanted to play hockey, and was good enough that she played professionally. She practiced harder. She trained longer. She tried harder but lost her dream because she threatened some men's ideas of their own self worth. She was blindsided and no man protected her from frightened losers... Until Logan. He was a man who had enough confidence in his masculinity that the thought of a woman being a better player did not emasculate him. I found the story to be interesting. Billie is a strong woman when it came to her skills in hockey. It was as a woman in love with a man that she found less insecure. Her triplet sisters made her feel unsure of her femininity. Her sisters were her handicap in being a woman strong enough to feel confident that she was enough woman to keep her man. I recommend this story of love and life. Here's to finding a man who knows he's a man with a real woman.

About 250 pages. This book has a lot of sex and cursing. It is the typical romance. Part of a series. Each person has their own book. There is really new or unexpected. Just the same ole, same ole. Although the father has alzhiemer's and the female, main character is a hockey player on a men's team. For ages 18 and up. AD

Great story. Love Logan and Billie! Hot and great story on female hockey player that can do it all but still working through small town thinking on how a girl fits. Even in today's society great read

The main character was annoying. She was so immature. I skipped to the end to see what happened but I could have predicted that ending.

Enjoyed reading. It is not easy being a female athlete on a traditional men only team. Being a triplet with real sibling rivalries instead of the usual crock about littermates always getting along, was refreshing. I could have done without all the male organ descriptions, however, it could have been worse.

Ok read. Very predictable. Didn't appreciate the swearing increasing as the book went along. Just not necessary.
