The Cat and company travel by hot air balloon up and into various weather phenomena including rain, snow, thunder, tornadoes, and (yikes!) even hurricanes! Along the way they learn about thermometers, anemometers, wind vanes, cloud formations, humidity, fog, smog, weather folklore, and how to stay safe in lightning. Written and illustrated in Seussian style, this a great addition to the Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library!

Easy and fun to read! Great for kids of all ages
My grandson, who is 6, loves this book. I bought it for him at Christmas and he reads it alot. Loves all Dr. Suess books
My sons love the cat in the hat and what better way to learn new things than through a character they like. The tongue twisters, the quirky writing all make learning fun. My son used the word 'evaporation' the other day and before reading this book had no idea what that meant. And we can not wait for the new TV series . . .coming in the fall.
Toddlers love to soak up any vocabulary they can get. It doesn't matter that they're a bit unclear on the concepts; they're a little bit unclear on all the concepts they're learning. With this series, I can give my son a bunch more vocabulary in verse than is available in most books for very young children.
