Louisa Marie Carletta (Lou) leaves a self-imposed exile to temporarily return home to help her father with the family private eye business after his heart attack. Lou had fled after turning her brother over to the cops in the course of a theft investigation and failing to convince her best friend, Carrie, to stop taking drugs.
