Once a Wife by Patricia Keelyn is the second book in the "A Mother's Heart" series. it is about a couple that has been given a second chance to repair their broken family. Twelve years earlier, Sarah, believing she is doing what is best for her sick child, walks out on her husband Reece and young son Drew. She has always regretted her decision to leave but now she feels she must return to help save her son from his destructive ways. Will returning cause Sarah to lose all that she holds dear to her.... A child that her ex husband knows nothing about? The story that follows is filled with such powerful emotions. Can the love and bond between a mother and her child ever really be broken? And can true love forgive all the lies and deception? You will have to read this well written novel about second chances to find out. I hadn't read the first book in this series, "Keeping Katie", before reading this one, however not only will I be going back to read that one but I will also be reading "Where the Heart is" the third book in this heartwarming series. I received this book from EBook Discovery in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book free from eBook Discovery to read and leave an honest review. Sarah is young and pregnant and her husband, Reece, has been disowned by his family due to his mother's prejudices. Sarah made a really difficult decision of the love of her family. A really horrible decision. What a well-written heart-breaking story that is told very well. Patricia Keelyn is an author that is new to me. I enjoyed her writing style and story-telling very much. I believe that this is the second story in the series, and although I have not read the first, this story could be read as a stand-alone. I found it a very nice, enjoyable story, and I would recommend this for any reader.
