Everyone dies. It's the morbid curiosity of when and how that makes horror so enticing.
Once Upon a Dead Gull is a combined work of short stories and flash fiction.
Spoiler alert: it has nothing to do with seagulls and more to do with what is real and what isn't. And as always there is a healthy dose of horror & paranormal that Hill fans have come to expect.

In 14 pages we are given snapshots to a variety of people. Some of these two page stories will likely stick with you while others wilk fall by the wayside. Was it worth a dollar? To me it was; I don't think everyone will feel this way though. These stories are not graphic but they definitely do get you thinking about mortality; not only of the characters but your own as well.
The Hill's compliment one another in this collection of shorts. They tell a great story in few words. I'll be willing to bet however that Joe didn't write the poetry at the end.
All are above average. 4 stars easy.
Fantastic story telling!
Some really kick-ass shorts. And yo anonymous who doubts Joe Hill wrote the poetry . I might take that bet. It seems the lil King is trying his hand at poetry. I think it's called collaboration. Not being a di*k, just saying.
'Everyone dies. It's the morbid curiosity of when and how that makes horror so enticing.' The Hill's appear to mock and make light of death. It's like watching a train wreck. Cover your eyes and peak through your fingers because you just can't help look away.
