Katherine Gabera wrote acomplete romance. It is not a cliffhanger, and she even ended with an epilogue!!! This was a.story about how children of dysfunctional parents learn how to survive the bad parenting to find a way above it. I truly fell for Logan whose drunkard father bet him hard enough tl leave scars. In his life, he never fou d snyonehe felt safe to be with. His greatest fesr was that he would be like his abusive father. Avery was the neglected daughter of two dedicated scientist. Her parents weren't parental. Their abuse was their inability to nurture her soul, to allow her to be confident in a relationship, to trust someone else to take care not to break her heart. They consistently broke promises to her and she felt valueless. A lot of explicit sex scenes because in situations where you do not let your walls down, sex can make a relations seem to be intimate, when they really are shallow and easily dealt with. I reco.mend this story to mature adults.

I could have been a nice story but I had to skip whole chapters of graphic sex. Some of the writing was a bit juvenille. The editing needs to be redone.

What can I say? The story was not half bad. I do wish it had been proofread though.

Nice setting, interesting people but the ‘heroine’ was a tad too neurotic for my tastes. Regardless, it was an easy, enjoyable read.

I liked parts of book but had a hard time loving the main charactors. Feelings very flat at times. Grammer errors.

Once Upon A Texas Christmas is a twist on the office romance woven with the magic of Christmas. Wonderful chemistry between the two characters and I enjoyed their fun sparring with each other. It’s a tale of two people who feel not worthy of love and each is dealing with lack of parent role models who have affected their fears and outlooks on love and family.

I love Christmas romance stories and this one was good, but an editor would have been a good idea. There were several instances of missing words or extra words. If I have to reread a sentence to find the proper meaning, it takes me out of the story.

Finding Love The Ghost of the B&B is back to get another couple together at Christmas. These two need each other. Avery has her parents but they are so involved in there careers that holidays were what she made of them. Now she works as an assistant for Logan's foundation, he is from Whiskey River but left and something of himself in Hollywood. Now he is trying to give back with his two friends.

Messy, but this one and its psychological disorder and discordant fantastic Resolution beats all! The novella format is OK but the lack of editing with skipped words, tense issues and general lack of vocabulary and clarity are flaws I find hard to overlook. Keep writing and learning and you will probably get optioned by Hallmark.

Didn't really enjoy it. Ended up skimming to get to the end.

Avery loves the job she does she gets to be part of helping the community that she has grown to love. The only thing she would love more is if she could feel like she belonged. Logan has been away from Whiskey River for a long time and coming home is not all that its cracked up to be it seems the town he grew up in can't seem to see past the one thing that has always over shadowed his childhood and his life. Can he show the town that his still a good guy or will they only see him for what his childhood once was? Can Avery get over the past and the hurt or will it just all over shadow the future she hopes to have? I am really loving the town of Whiskey River, while it has its gossip, biddies and over all some really fun loving characters. I am not sure why but when ever I read one of these books out of Whiskey River it feels like I am catching up with friends instead of reading a fiction story. I really loved how vulnerable both Avery and Logan were but also how fun the book was. The book does have some adult language but over all was a super fun read and well worth it.

Once Upon A Texas Christmas (Whiskey River Christmas Book 4) by Katherine Garbera This is Avery Burton and Logan Calloway’s story. Logan had a difficult childhood but is famous now. He has never gotten serious with anyone until he gets to know Avery. They are very different people. Will they take a chance on love? This is another great addition to the Whiskey River Christmas series. Logan and Avery’s story was fun to watch them open up to each other. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Want a great Texas Christmas read? This is the book for you. Now know you sure can and should read this book any time of the year...not just around Christmas time. I love reading books set in my state and I really enjoy this series. Makes me wonder if the boots mentioned aren't based off of our own Justin boots but here I go wandering.... In this book we get to know the "five-star" brother Logan and Avery his assistant who runs his charity back home in Whiskey River, Tx. Now Logan comes home, something he does rarely because Eli and Harlan and Logan are going to start a winery and work with at risk teens. Just like they were. It's time to give back gentlemen. Oh yes....Avery and her girlfriends well we learn a little about them but this is Miss Avery's story. And what a good one our author tells. Yes, I do think that in would have liked to have seen snow in Texas.....
